We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Anna Baranovskaya. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Anna below.
Anna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you in your professional career?
When I was 26 i came to Cyprus (EU) and decided I can run a business. I opened a school for kids with an extensive team of 20 people. I had zero business experience, zero funds, zero understanding of how processes work, had no well planned business model or back up plan, but I had passion and belief that it will work.
Well, it did, for almost 4 years, however it collapsed to pieces after. There was no strategy, no responsibility from my side, and eventually no desire to do anything no more.
When I started another business 2 years ago – coaching practice – i was prepared :)
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a professional coach and a mentor for women who are starting their journey as entrepreneurs. I help amazing entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs-to-be in 13 countries find their true life passion, grow and expand their businesses and simply live a happy life every day.
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
As i mentioned above, I had a business that failed. The thing is, every time I ask myself: would I do things differently if I had a chance? I say No. Because every little milestone on my way added to my personality and my inner power today.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I think key thing is being:
– a good and interesting person
– a qualified professional in your field
– and have a great product.
