We were lucky to catch up with Morgan Molitor recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Morgan, thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
Legacy is one of the most important things to us. Whether it comes to raising our three babies or our entire team. When we hire – we hire knowing we will treat them like family. We are creating something bigger and deeper at construction2style not only for our personal family but our c2s family and their families. Our motto is “Create a space you love and your life will launch off of it.” We are creating homes for homeowners that truly spark their joy everyday of their life. Might not be our style, priorities, or goals. But as we get to know clients – we think about theirs. What lights them up at night, what gets them going in the morning, what brings joy or calmness to their soul. That is and what will be our companies legacy. And how we made them feel. Internally – we strive to ask our employees – what lights them up? What life do they want to live? And we want work to support that dream of theirs and not visa versa.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For over 10 years, alongside my husband, we’ve been tearing houses apart and creating new dream spaces not only for our clients but for ourselves. We started c2s from the ground up as a DIY blog in 2012 and have since evolved into a full- service design + build interior residential and small media company. We document it all from the construction side, to how to build a website, developing multiple streams of revenue, to how to build your brand while ensuring profitability, marketing courses, in person workshops, and more.
MN based but nationwide, I graduated from college in Long Beach, CA with a fashion merchandising and marketing degree, and have now taken that creativity and knowledge to use within our clients homes and website.
I oversee all content creation, manage the brand partnerships, is the writing guru, and overall creative director. I also head up our online education courses and in- person marketing conferences, which we do 3 – 4 times per year nationally.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
We also head up a non-profit called resilience2reform. Which is a faith based platform that gives a voice through difficult chapters; addiction, prison, trauma, depression. My younger brother was incarcerated for ten years for running a multi-state drug conspiracy. Not just my brother Noah, but all that loved and knew him have all together withstood recovery in what was a very difficult situation. And made the BEST out of it and have now launched a platform for those to share exactly what resilience means and how any can do it!

Any advice for managing a team?
Love them. We are a team of ten and I remind all of them each week with a big hug how thankful I am for them. We also go above and beyond and offer things such as disability, 401K plans, health insurance, and together combined but 15 days of health insurance, mental health days, sick, and c2s family fundays. Every quarter we have a “c2s funday” which means we either go golfing together, take a day to run up to a brewery, or do a staycation. We’re always trying to think outside of the box on what and how we can do things together not just with our team, but their families as well to develop morale.
