We were lucky to catch up with Shannon Low recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Shannon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

We originally conjured the idea for Greener Tactics after a fallout with a local corporate dispensary. We realized how manipulated and uninformed that MO patients were, so we began to first focus on enhancing the culture and perception of cannabis. Later we found it very rewarding to educate clients on the most productive and user friendly methods of legally cultivating top shelf cannabis at bottom dollar rates. This educational campaign has taught patients the simplicity of cultivating their own cannabis rather than only rely on corporations. With that said, we love the vast majority of medical dispensaries in Missouri and realize most have the patient’s well-being in mind. Which led to the process we are now in of opening the Greener Tactics Pro Supply on 515 S Main Joplin MO.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Greener Tactics offers top of the line gardening equipment to easily navigate all levels of cultivators through a productive grow cycle. We carry Mars Hydro advanced lighting and tent equipment along with Advanced Nutrients quality line of products. We do not urge clients to settle with mediocre gear in order to save a few dollars because this almost always leads to a disappointing harvest.

The core mission of Greener Tactics, to advance societal perception and understanding of cannabis, begins with our staff. Here at Greener Tactics we believe in self-discipline rather than an array of punishable crimes. We also work with some of the most passionate and educated staff the industry has to offer. Our local medical consultant, Artizalia Villalobos, has led many patients through positive experiences by showing them the healing properties of cannabis. Our media specialist, Bryan Cox, has helped ensure our harvests and supply products are artistically justified when presented to the public. We couldn’t have a better line of associates that are the face of the company.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Our reputation comes from our ongoing stance on cannabis culture. We believe that cannabis should be viewed as safer than alcohol. We envision a community where cannabis is accepted not only as a medicine or relief, but also as an art. Finally, we stand at the front lines of change when it comes to spreading education and creating safe environments for cannabis enthusiasts.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

After experiencing the management table at a corporate dispensary and witnessing how the legal side of MO cannabis was developed and maintained, I quickly foreseen an inevitable take over by big money. When recreational goes through, you can 100% bet than companies like Phillip Morris and others will be knocking on doors with buy out offers. I learned that, by large, the majority of MO cannabis companies that exist today are waiting for big money buy outs while some have already acquired them. You can look at the 5 licenses that was bought from Besame (Eldoorganic) by Vert’s, or even the buy out of Shango buy Good Day Farms. Besame and Shango, both coming from out of state investment sharks, had full intention to sell out their investments, this was the plan from the beginning. This is still the plan today for their remaining locations in MO… What does this tell the patient? Our local dispensaries can’t wait to sell us out to Big Tobacco or Big Cannabis Money with the top dollar offer. The patient’s well-being?? Well, that’ll eventually and inevitably be left in the hands of entities like Phillip Morris. Greener Tactics works against this narrative and seeks to educate the public on these odd dealings, simply because they deserve to know.
