We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tony Green. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tony below.
Tony, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I think in the current culture, if I could go back, which I can, I would stay right here. Ha! I mean of course I think of starting the social media experiments that made me a name in this city, and where I’d be if I had done it earlier. Things would of course be different, but I’d be no less fabulous, and I would certainly not go backwards not knowing what I know now.
IF, I had started earlier, things that would have benefitted me would be a fiber internet connection. I think if I went back to dial up, I would have grown just as slowly. In that thought process, I look at my take and influence on social media for whatever may be next. I know I’ll play a part in that, hopefully inspiring some along the way!
Tony, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
So I started out in the service industry, eventually realizing that having a heart for service can be something that is either easily taken advantage of, if not harnessed. I experienced both sides of that. Luck brings so many opportunities, but realizing your talent, brings luck. It came full circle for me. Working at restaurants became catering private parties. Crafting cocktail menus became creating environments.
Theatre and design studies became a lesson in showmanship.
I curate those parts of myself and do so knowing that I want to create only what I would also like to experience, which is the millennial version of ‘do unto others as you’d have them do unto you’ – lol
So I did.
I’m proud to have made a show concept that used the talents of many friends I’ve met along the way, surround yourself with those you want to create with, let those friends become your potential and be true to them, that defines your brand.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I think creatives dictate growth in a society. Those creatives require the support of those who can help them realize their ideas, and of course that needs money! So how do you support an artist? Purchase local work, actively as an artist look to help other artists thrive, market artists you may not know so that others may discover them, that makes the ecosystem of an artist.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Truly for me, I have found the most reward in creating more opportunity for artists other than myself. Being a face that lets artists younger than myself decide to do it better than me, because they saw me. I hope they do.
