We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Paola Ranova a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Paola, thanks for joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.

I had pursued an academic career since I was 18 years old. Everything seemed very aligned for me, I became a bachelor and got a Master’s degree in Political Theory and Moral Philosophy, then got a PhD in Comparative Studies and Social Sciences and became a permanent member of the Political Science Institute at the University of Brasilia as a Professor at age 31. Though I had always dedicated half my time to my professional career and half my time to my private spiritual studies and self-development, I never imagined I would someday become a professional in the field of energy healing. What happened was that 4 years into the academic career I realized I wasn’t fulfilled, it was not what I imagined it would be. My soul just wasn’t happy. I needed to become more connected to my real self, and I started realizing that being a professor was part of it but not the gravitational center of my life. So I started creating a consciousness-based energy healing system system that included all of the roads I had traveled, and I created the Cardinal Method of Life Connection, which builds bridges between different knowledge systems using the power of crystals and other forces of life and nature. When the theoretical blueprint was completely in place, I felt it was time to start practicing The Cardinal Method. I started to sketch out a book in 2011 and got volunteer friends to test the sessions for two years before I moved to the United States, on August of 2014. But then I still thought I would teach a new system to family constellation professionals, not that I would become an energy healing professional myself, but when I set foot in Florida and took an energy healing self-care course, the moment the facilitator started explaining the basics of neuroscience and quantum physics behind health regeneration I knew I needed to change careers. I became licensed from the University of Brasilia, founded a healing center in Boca Raton, and began giving sessions to individuals and groups and teaching energy healing both presently and online. A new career had begun for me. That decision was the defining moment.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’m a PhD, University Professor, writer, energy medicine practitioner and the creator of the Cardinal Method of Life Connection. Born and raised in Brazil, I became an academic because I’ve always been passionate about human nature, consciousness, self-development, and the soul.

To fully pursue my passion for human nature, I studied and researched many cultures, ancient wisdom, and contemporary knowledge about who we are as human beings, and what is our purpose in life. And I believe the purpose of life is to expand consciousness, be happy, and fulfill our Higher Self dreams.

I’ve always been so in love with this topic that after almost 30 years of study and research, I developed a consciousness-based modality called The Cardinal Method of Life Connection, first as my personal medicine, and then it became a system that is now helping thousands of people in many different countries in the world, with hundreds of Cardinal Method Practitioners who have taken my trainings and have improved their abilities to help their clients.

Those who wish to develop their true potentials have all the power and strength to do it, and it starts with a journey of knowing who we truly are, committing to self-development, transforming what does not serve you, and engaging in what I call “life-connection”.

We use crystals and other forces of life and nature to connect to the truth of who we are, align our energy fields, create faster and more joyful shifts in our lives.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I believe being a PhD, author and University Professor helped with my credibility in the energy healing field, especially with the use of crystals, since crystals and energy healing are usually associated with magic thinking and there’s A LOT of prejudice and misinformation against New Age and energy healing in general.

Also, being featured in Kryon’s Circle of Twelve has helped a lot.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

The lesson I had to unlearn is that our souls know what’s best for us, we have that information within, and that a career shift is not about completely abandoning what you’ve done in the past, but integrating it and expanding it.

The back story is that we are always pursuing our mission, even if most of the time it’s unconscious. I have always been passionate about human nature, and I dove into it professionally as an academic in the field of moral philosophy, now I’m diving into it professionally in the field of consciousness and energy healing. I’ve expanded on what has always been by drive, and I know everyone people can do this too as long as they’re willing to know themselves and transform what holds them back, which are mainly blind spots and unconscious blockages.
