We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tiara Daniel a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Tiara thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
I love all of our customers – we do not care about how you look, how you dress or how much money you make. I take pride in our products and love to see our regulars it makes what I do an absolute joy. This is not my job; it is my passion. I create mesmerizing natural products and our customer let me know that I am doing something right. “Remember Things are Better HOMEMADE.”

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As a company, I am proud to be the owner of an beautifully homemade skin care company, The Dream Jar Company that specialize in natural products such as: body scrubs, wax melts, candles, lip gloss, body butter, bath bombs and more for men, women and children. Each product is handcrafted and homemade with love in batches to ensure freshness. We are proud of our loyal followers and customers. We have several customer that have us on speed dial for wholesale opportunities and restock. We ensure quality natural products and we love hearing our customer talk about how our products have changed their skin. Some of our customer favorites are whipped body butter, bath bombs and our signature lip-gloss.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
The Dream Jar Company have has some minor bumps along the way, but knew it was to be expected always remember to keep GOD first, PRAY and MANIFEST your dreams into reality. There is a lot that goes into starting a business – having a great product or service is not enough. There is insurance, application fees, licenses, product testing, market research, FDA regulations and more. Our biggest challenges are 1) competing for shelf space with mass-produced natural care products 2) advertising – we use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Alignable and hosting our own vision board events.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
The Dream Jar Company takes pride in our customers. Every vendor event, we engage with our customer and ask them to follow our social media profiles to keep in touch. At each event, we have a barcode present to make the following process easier for our customers. This has been very helpful with growing our platform quickly. The advice I would give is invest in a digital business card not only to promote your business but coach others that do not have the resources to grow their business.
