That, Architecture is a noble profession to be practiced with immense integrity for the noble cause for the humanity and the Mother Earth. Architecture is not a profit driven business but it is be practiced with wholistic thinking for the entire planet in terms of it shared resources, sustainability and focusing on long terms built environment rather than immediate financial gains for self interests. The nearest blade of grass if connected to the farthest star and all doing comes around like what we are seeing through the climate change. The construction industry contributes up to 40% to the global crisis. Developer clients need to be educated about the effects before they make unruly profit driven demands from vulnerable architects who serve their whims at their beck and call. Read more>>

I don’t believe every business has to become a giant corporate machine. I don’t believe increasing revenue and growth for growth’s sake have to be business goals for a business to be successful. I’m not interested in fame or fortune. I want to provide a good service for a worthwhile clientele, not just make as much money as I can. As a friend recently said, “What’s wrong with just being local?” I am perfectly happy providing a service for friends and small business partners that pay me a living wage, rather than constantly trying to find the bigger and better. I can grow alongside my clients and appreciate them for what we add to each other’s businesses now. Read more>>

In general, I believe that most people disagree that budgeting is not restrictive. Budgeting…it’s the complete opposite. It is empowering. It is meant to put you in a position to be in control of your money, not your money control you. By budgeting, you know exactly where your money is going, and there is freedom in that.
