We were lucky to catch up with Inklyne recently and have shared our conversation below.
Inklyne, appreciate you joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Doing music wasn’t easy. This involves a lot of fight out . I learn a lot of things while doing music, one thing I know once you’re putting in the work there is a chance of winning like 100% chance of winning I’ve come a long way and I’ll never stop pushing my music I’m the only one who promotes and push my music to the limit.
Inklyne, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started out doing music when I was 12 years old. I remembered myself I used to attend Vauxhall high school from there I every day I come from school I work hard on my computer and upload them to SoundCloud for fans to listen to I have come along way I have no chance I’ve given up when I see that my followers are growing. My views are growing. I’ve been over 30,000 followers on Instagram. It is amazing to see that people are really interested in my music.
I feel like I’ve gained all that I’ve been dreaming off because no, I am also featured in popular articles were showing my fans that I am as you know it’s amazin. I am so proud of myself right now because I’ve come a long way as I said before Music was always my thing from when I was younger from the age of 12 years old and I never stop until this day I’m still doing it and getting those things are funds mean featuring couple articles online it’s amazing.
Doing music I realize that you can just do your own thing you don’t have to be working with anyone so I started to create in my own thing that’s my record label called Inklyne music group I have bought other artists is light upload your music popular platforms that they would love to be on so that people can see them and they can get more fans
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
To be honest in Jamaica, where I came from people don’t usually be supportive Jamaicans are not supportive, but the thing that they can do to support artists and creative people the best is to post us let people know, or show people our work. Be glad for us.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I see that I came a long way. I realize that being your own boss isn’t that hard and listening to what people say but then let you feel doing and I learned that it doesn’t matter what people say about you once you want something you got to go for it no one is coming to give it to you. You got to go and get it done. That’s what I have learned.
