Tatiana , appreciate you joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
We named our business after our two daughters, Chloe and Zoe, who’s witty attitudes and passionate smiles has driven our entire operation. They are our hearts and joy. Therefore we decided with “CZ’s Adventure Jumps” – Chloe and Zoe’s Adventure Jumps.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, I am Tatiana Armenteros. I have dreamed of opening my own bounce house business for over 2 years now. My husband, Josh and I started this dream around 2018, when our eldest daughter, Chloe was just around 2 years old. For her 2nd birthday party, we decided to rent her a big bounce house and invite all of her friends to come enjoy this big day with her. The Joy on her face was absolutely astonishing and the smile on her face was constant the entire day. At that moment, we fell in love with that joy as well. We couldn’t even begin to tell you how many bounce houses we have rented since then because it was A LOT. Around 2019, Tatiana was not happy with her career and decided to make a change to work from home and be around her kids more. In 2020, we welcomed our 2nd daughter, Zoe into this world. As Zoe was growing older, Josh and I have decided that it was finally the right time to go ahead and start this new adventure for our family. Our business currently offers Bounce Houses, Waterslides, Cotton candy machines, Snow cone machines as well as tables and chairs. Being a small business owner in such a populated field has been super tough. However, we have started CZ’s Adventure Jumps with one goal in mind: providing a high- quality, brand new and reliable bounce houses. Our passion for excellence has driven us from the beginning, and continues to drive us into the future. We know that every product, party and event counts and we strive to make your entire experience as rewarding as possible. We pride ourselves in effective communication with our customers. Every customer always receives a phone call, text message and an email in regards to their booking. I always treat every customer as how I would like to be treated. I love hearing from customers daily, I love to see the fun they are having. It truly makes my heart glow, that is my full mission with this business.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I am originally from Siberia, Russia, a very little town called “poikovskii”. If you would ever want to look it up, you would have to search it as “Poikovskii town, Russia”. It is a very small town. Not really known around at all. Our family moved here around 2001, when I was just 12 years old. When I arrived to the states, I was in a culture shock. I have never even seen automatic grocery store doors. My life started really quickly though. I had to choose to be a grade below in education and start all over in 5th grade vs being in middle school due to my language barrier. Being a foreigner in this new country has really taken a toll on me; from having an accent and not being able to make friends. I did not let any of this to get to me. By the time I got to High School, I was able to join the Future Business of America Club, become the president, and able to succeed and even go through the Dale Carnegie Program. Moving on to higher education, I have chosen to combine it into two very different fields; one in Mass Communications and the other in Public Health. These two fields have really helped me with this business. With my degree in mass communications I have the skills with Marketing and with Public Health I make sure that I take every safety percussion when it comes to cleaning and sanitizing our units. This business has helped me grow and I am absolutely proud of it. I have always told myself, that there is nothing that you cannot do. You have come so far, you can continue to keep going and do whatever your heart desires. I feel like this business was my true calling, combining all of my skills, background and education, this is what provides me joy and what keeps me going. Since starting this business, I have became BBB accredited, fully licensed and insured. I have also been able to give so much back to my community. From supporting other small businesses, to supporting events, schools, organizations and more. I couldn’t do any of this though without the support of my family, my team, my loving husband josh and my daughters, Chloe and Zoe.
How did you build your audience on social media?
The way that I have built my audience on social media is starting with promoting yourself first. Tell everyone about yourself and why you are starting something that is so important to you. Create your marketing goals and know your audience. Be involved with your Greater Chamber of Commerce. Ask for help, create a team who can help you reach your goal. Know the power of one platform that works for you. Always ask for feedback on your products, Engage with your customers and respond to every comment on your social media page. Be involved. Get with your local newspapers just like this one.
