Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mac Daro. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Mac thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge to obtaining profitability Is making people value you as you do yourself
It’s a lot of different intangibles that come into why a person chooses to support your business monetarily
Me personally I value my skill set and ability to do what I do versus the numbers although I feel numbers are important I feel they can easily be obtained by having a budget
Mac , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well for starters I am Mac Daro aka Money Casserole (YouTube,ITunes Spotify) born as Cardarius Benton. Those are three different personalities i Identify as. I am a musician I can play a few percussion instruments and read some music. I write music mostly HipHop but I’m learning to go into different lanes and come out my shell. Mac Daro is my battle rap/lyrical side he’s more serious. Money Casserole is the ice the chains rings watches I don’t floss a lot but when I do it’s that side of me that’s doing it lol.
Cardarius is me in reality. I do a lot of different things in my industry from writing the music picking the instrumentals
Booking the shows selecting the graphic and artwork
The interviews etc the list goes on.
I am my biggest client as far as priority so I take care of everything. I have other clients I work with behind the scenes as far as help building their social medias and things of that such.
I’m most proud of my accolades
To mention a few
Lyricist of the year
Best make HipHop artist of the year
Best Battle Rapper
How did you build your audience on social media?
I have gained over 100,000 followers across platforms. Over 3,000,000 views The main thing I can preach is consistency
Even for me that’s a hard task staying consistent with content
I was doing everything to gain attention
Dropping my videos in comment sections of bigger platforms which some call spamming
But I was gaining attention from it so i would do mayb 1 comment on a viral post and gain 2 to 300 followers a day
We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
I make some of merchandise from home And others I use third party companies to try to save more on the back end
