We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jaffee Judah a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaffee , thanks for joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Hmmm…
That’s a loaded question and it’s no one specific way to answer that. I think to be successful it takes faith in self, a smart team or tribe, clear direction, and staying curiously engaged.
So far this has been a successful year for me because of all of those things.
A success story to me is Gaining Trust and sharing power on important decisions.
I’m not the typical CEO or whatever that’s supposed to mean I lean into my authentic self, morals, elders, mentors, and ancestors who all contribute to the journey we each are here to fulfill.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Blkblood voice is a podcast that is changing the way you listen to and experience podcasting from the US who are fathers, mentors, and community leaders.
Since 2013 I have been on the frontline in my community promoting education about sustainability and health-conscious practices.
And after having some great conversations with the Co-Host of the podcast and our engineer Big6, Foundation Mecca, and one of my youngins Nino the chief we thought it would be best to start a podcast and bring some of those connections together and topics to the surface that we normally discuss off camera.
Our mission is to highlight entrepreneurs who have started from the bottom and elevated to the top SOLID!
We also have a “ Nurture The Youth Campaign” which is an initiative that brings awareness to our partnership(s) with a grassroots organization that provides summer and after-school programs for underserved youth and communities.
A percentage of our profits are donated to grassroots organizations to help get the word out, inspire positive change, and support solutions for Social Justice issues.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
YES!
There’s a few of them. The first one that comes to mind is Tribes: We need You To Lead Us! By Seth Godin. That book is amazing is gives me the pride to be a good leader.
Speak Your Way To Cash By Ashley Kirkwood that book is pretty solid and recommend to me by my mentor Joseph.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Going through the motions with jail, prison, misdemeanors, losing hope, and reclaiming my faith in God is a story that illustrates resistance for me honestly. Cause to have resilience means to recover quickly from difficulties or harm. As I improve or increase my self-awareness, mindfulness, self-care, positive relationships and purpose my efforts will inspire others.
