We recently connected with Katrina Eileen and have shared our conversation below.
Katrina , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
My mission is not to be the best in the industry. In fact, it’s to be the most influential, uplifting & supportive. A lot of people think that leaving a legacy means everybody knew of you and you left money for future generations. Although that is a part of it, a legacy is what someone leaves behind like their character and reputation. What did this person do to leave a positive impact in society? Setting an example for others and guiding their futures is the end goal of mine. Whether it’s giving advice or simply putting out encouraging words. I want people to look at me or speak with me and get inspired. As an entrepreneur, full time mother, pre-law student, model & employee; I want to influence other women and men to go after anything they desire. Anything is achievable when you have discipline and determination.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
First and foremost I want to give a big thank you to everyone who is taking their time to read my article. My name is Katrina, I’m a full-time mother, full-time pre-law student, entrepreneur and model. I am from a small city named Baytown, Texas.
I own a cosmetic line that I have built from the ground up & it’s called Kategory Five Beauty. I want my potential customers to know that our mission is to provide high quality products. We want everyone to feel confident and bold when applying our products. K5BEAUTY supports the LGBTQ community and we are big on diversity.
As an entrepreneur, I have experienced many trials and tribulations but I am very proud of my consistency and perseverance.
When it comes to modeling, I have been in the game for about two consistent years. I am experienced in catalog, commercial, beauty, video-vixen & much more. I have had the opportunity to work with many creative and talented people. I’ve always wanted to be in the creative industry since I was a younger child and I’m now living in those moments.
No matter what cards I was dealt with in my teen years, I still accomplished something I once dreamt about so that’s major to me. I want other women to look at me and say “Wow, she can do it all with a child, she really motivates me to go after what I want as well”.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to unlearn is that I can’t expect success overnight. Success takes time, it takes years. I can’t rush what God has in store for me. When it’s my time, I will know.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
One of my side hustles was modeling at one point in my life and it became a full time job for me. One thing I can say that lead me to that blessing is consistency. I became more consistent with showing the world what I am passionate about. I network with individuals who have the same visions and goals as me. As a creative whenever you surround yourself with others with the same interests, opportunities begin to naturally come your way. A lot of people think that modeling is easy but it’s not as easy as it looks. A model requires confidence, bravery, patience, persistency and being able to handle criticism and rejection.
