Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to And I Thought Ladies. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
And I , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
We started this journey with the simple thought that life is different from textbook or what society told them. They missed some things. They forgot to to teach everything needed to be a successful women in today’s world. The ladies came together to write a book about what they have learned along the way throughout their lives. They discuss everything from surviving domestic violence to throwing the perfect twenty dollar party.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Jade: The And I Thought Ladies we are award winning poets. Pop poets that write literary life guides better know as anthologies. We write the And I Thought series & Miss-Fit Guide series. We are podcaster of four shows I will just name two The Ladies Tales Podcast, and The Womens’ Cave Show. On these shows we discuss varies topics. We also, put on several virtual conferences a year.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
A few years ago we trusted the wrong person and they attempted to destroy the business from the inside out.. We lost so much in a short period time. Jade was the one that suggested we pivot from shooting an episodic show to doing a documentary. The documentary changed our career and business.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
We have had a lot of bad times. It is hard enough to keep your head up when the going gets tough. We find the best way to keep. our heads up is to remember that if it’s bad now it should get better. We are honest with the few employees we have and they help us out a lot. The rougher spots actually grow our team closer together. We aren’t sure how this can be duplicated, but if you can figure it out then we are sure it will work for you.
