Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Logan Lavo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Logan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
I am very happy that music is my full time career now and that I don’t have a “regular job”. We all had them and slowly worked towards being able to take less and less hours as we were making more from music. Of course, being an independent artist comes with many struggles and frustrations but the band and I work through them together and have been around long enough to know how to deal with certain problems that persist. I think the biggest thing for us is stress. The amount of back-end work that needs to be done such as sending tons of emails, booking dates for shows and studio times, and creating multimedia worlds for each one of our songs can pile up very quickly. At the end of the day, we are all doing what we love and wouldn’t change it for a second, Whenever we play a NIGHTBREAKERS show or release new music, we’re reminded of why we did this. It’s a very exciting feeling.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
NIGHTBREAKERS have been performing and releasing music since 2019, however we all had bands before this with their own experiences and lives. We have a pop rock sound and recently had our track ‘Attention’ gain over 1.5 million streams on Spotify. We’ve been lucky enough to land opening slots for national touring artists such as Weezer, Bastille, All Time Low, Dorothy, HUNNY, and more. We have also performed at the 97X Next Big Thing and Backyard BBQ radio festivals, toured the Southeast United States, performed on live television, and even had a music video premiered by Alternative Press. Another staple of the band is our exciting live performances including a full light show and being filled with energy from start to finish.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I’d say that just by supporting them in general in any way is helpful. For example, if someone likes a song of ours they post it on their Instagram story to share it with their friends. Even something as simple as coming out to a show is really appreciated and slowly builds the name and reputation of the band around the area.

How did you build your audience on social media?
CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT!! Always strive to post intriguing and interesting content as much as possible. Try to work with other local creatives to help build your content catalogue. As a band we have worked with many amazing local photographers, videographers, and designers to provide us awesome looking content for our socials. We have also taken advantage of the boosting and advertising features on each platform. You don’t have to spend much money to start spreading your content to tons of new users that share you’re interests as long as you tag your ad correctly and accurately.
