We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Eva Constance. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Eva below.
Eva, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you feel you or your work has ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized? If so, tell us the story and how/why it happened and if there are any interesting learnings or insights you took from the experience?
I do feel like I have and am very misunderstood. For those who do not know, I’ve used TikTok as a platform to grow, just as most artists have. Through online in general, specifically on TikTok, I’ve been judged and made fun of for the way I looked. This caused me to feel as if I was not good enough. It made me feel so small I started comparing myself to others and wondering why I was born with certain things. I was born with strabismus. It’s the clinical word for lazy eye. I also had an accident as a child causing my face structure to change. I grew up with superficial confidence and it took me a very long time to see the beauty in myself. Through my eye surgery that helped correct my strabismus at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, I was able to grow my confidence back and find a way to embody who I wanted myself to be. I started the inner work and I feel that it’s showing on the outside as well. I know people will judge for getting certain facial procedures or using Botox/filler but I chose to use those tools to not only internally feel better but give my look a subtle boost without fully changing myself. Everyone has their own option and I completely understand that, but I do it because it makes me feel and see what others already see. It just enhances more for me and I’m ok with that. I do have thoughts though about my acceptance now versus before the eye surgery. Either way, I’ll still be doing what I love to do.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hey I’m Eva Constance. I am an rnb/Pop artist based around West Palm Beach. I’ve been recording music since 2020 professionally. At the time I was in school for Radiology. Since then, I’ve graduated and have been working in that field for 2 years. I’ve released 10 songs and 1 collab since 2020. I’ve never actually performed anywhere due to my schedule either school and work. I tried to set up touring in 2025 but that ended up falling through. As of 2026 I’m now in a position where I can do small tours, radio tours, out of state shows, etc. I’ve worked very hard with music, singing, and my schooling to be able to do so. I’m humbled and very grateful.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal right now in music, is to make a safe space for others who feel left out. For those who know they are meant for more. For those who give and feel fire energy within and want to express it regardless of others’ opinion. I’ve been bullied in my younger years and have been the one left out so I know what it feels like. I just want others to feel and believe they are more than good enough.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I feel that the most rewarding part right now for me in my music career is that i just get to create what I love without approval from anyone. I’m an independent artist with no management or a team just yet – working on it, so for me sky’s the limit. I’m all for a team and management but the pieces have to fit.
