Makeda, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
The kindest thing anyone has ever done for me was believe in me before I had proof that I could succeed. Learning to trade wasn’t easy. There were losses, mistakes, setbacks, and moments when quitting would have been easier. During that season, people in my life invested in me. They helped pay my rent, put food on my table, and gave me the gift of time so I could focus entirely on becoming a trader.
What made it so meaningful wasn’t the financial support—it was the message behind it: “We believe in your vision.” Their belief allowed me to make mistakes faster, learn faster, and experience abundance before I had fully created it for myself. They gave me the opportunity to think like a millionaire long before my bank account reflected it.
Today, that investment is paying off. I just had my biggest trading day ever, making $405 in profit. To some people, it may be just a number, but to me, it’s evidence that persistence works and that someone else’s belief in you can change the trajectory of your life.
As a master trader and instructor, I carry that lesson into everything I do. Markets teach strategy, but people teach significance. Because others believed in me, I now dedicate myself to believing in others and helping them see possibilities in themselves that they may not see yet.

I’m Makeda Hubert, a Forex trader, educator, and entrepreneur who believes financial education has the power to change entire family legacies. I got into trading because I wanted more than just income—I wanted freedom, ownership of my time, and the ability to create opportunities for myself and my son.
My journey wasn’t glamorous. I spent years studying, making mistakes, experiencing losses, and learning the discipline that trading demands. There were seasons when people believed in my vision enough to help support me so I could focus entirely on mastering my craft. That experience taught me that success is rarely built alone.
Today, I teach others how to approach the markets with strategy, patience, and confidence. I help aspiring traders understand market structure, develop discipline, and create systems that fit their lives instead of chasing unrealistic expectations. I don’t sell a dream—I teach skills, mindset, and consistency.
What sets me apart is that I teach from experience. I’ve been the person questioning myself, rebuilding after losses, and wondering if I was cut out for this. That’s why I lead with authenticity and empathy. I understand both the technical and emotional side of trading.

Weight loss taught me that results don’t come from intensity — they come from showing up when you don’t feel like it. I learned that the days you least want to do the work are exactly the days that build your character. That same muscle memory is what carried me through blown trading accounts, business setbacks, and starting over more than once. Consistency isn’t a strategy for me — it’s survival.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I see the market in shapes, not numbers. While most traders are reacting to digits on a screen, I’m reading structure — the geometry of price, where it’s been, where it’s respecting, where it’s lying. That visual fluency lets me move with conviction when others are frozen by noise. My students don’t just learn my system — they learn to see the way I see, and that shift changes everything for them.
