Hi Tyra, thanks for joining us today. The first dollar your firm earns is always special. We’d love to hear about how you got your first client that wasn’t a friend or family.

My first clients were on February 16th, 2020. I will never forget the immense amount of excitement and anxiety that I felt. That day I probably got to my suite 3 hours early (as I still do til this day lol), I just wanted everything to be perfect! I was 19 years old at the time and decided to take this leap of faith after deciding to not go to a traditional university. I always knew I wanted to be a business owner, and the dots just ended up connecting to esthetics. I’m so grateful to have found my passion in life!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Fresh Face Skin Bar was created from a passion for helping people achieve healthy, confident skin through personalized, results-driven care. My approach to skincare is rooted in both science and genuine connection. I believe that no two people—or skin journeys—are the same, which is why I customize every treatment to meet the individual needs and goals of each client.

I specialize in corrective and preventative skincare, helping clients address concerns such as hyperpigmentation, acne, and overall skin maintenance. What excites me most about this industry is the science and innovation behind how skincare interacts with the skin’s biology to create meaningful, visible change. To ensure the best outcomes, I carefully curate each facial using high-quality bioavailable and pharmaceutical-grade skincare products that are selected with purpose and intention.

What sets Fresh Face Skin Bar apart is the balance between results and experience. While I am deeply committed to helping my clients achieve healthier skin, I also believe self-care is an essential part of the process. Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

It’s so cliche but, word of mouth. Real reviews, as many as possible. At the end of the day people never forget how you make them feel. Create a great experience and you have nothing to worry about.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I remember in 2021 when I attempted to scale too quickly. Moving from the smallest possible suite option to the largest. All from being over ambitious and impatient at the end of the day. All the while I was trying to sell merchandise like logo tees and retail products, insane. I’m someone who is very hard on myself so when things started to crack I took it pretty hard, it felt like failure. My landlord really was an angel and believed in me so much. He let me downgrade again to get my feet back on the ground, my clients were still coming in and very loyal however my morale was low and I was feeling discouraged for sure.

Fast forward almost 5 years later working as an operations manager, it’s been revealed to me the areas I was lacking. Unfortunately in life and business it is necessary to have these lows, it’s all a lesson at the end of the day if you allow it to be. Looking back, I am so grateful for the experience and insight, experience and skills I have to succeed in the future.
