Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kenya Grant. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kenya, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
My defining moment was in 2025 when I was Diagnosed with Cancer. One of the most meaningful chapters of my life/career was turning my Triple Negative Breast Cancer diagnosis into a purpose-driven mission.
My experience deepened my faith and inspired me to create a faith-based financial planning practice to help others find peace and confidence through life’s uncertainties.
Knowing that something so difficult could lead to helping others is a blessing I cherish.
Although it wasn’t / isn’t easy for me going through the chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Surgeries etc I see how my testimony is inspirational to others and how it’s evolving me to become more than I could ever have imagined .
I know that I have/am enduring this to help others any way I can. And what better way to help others than making sure they have their finances in order.
Looking back, I’m grateful that one of the hardest seasons of my life became the foundation for a calling that allows me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others..

Kenya, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
What began as one of the most challenging seasons of my life, being diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer became the inspiration for creating a faith-based financial planner designed to help others steward their finances with intention, faith, and hope.
During my battle, I realized how important it is to be prepared for life’s unexpected turns and to trust God through every season.
Looking back, I’m grateful that God transformed my pain into purpose. Knowing that my journey can encourage others and provide them with tools to build financial peace and leave a legacy is one of the greatest blessings of my career.
It reminds me that sometimes our greatest challenges become the foundation for our greatest calling.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My breast cancer journey taught me the true meaning of resilience. Through chemotherapy, surgeries, and recovery, I leaned on my faith and chose to keep moving forward, even on the hardest days.
Rather than letting the experience defeat me, I used it as motivation to create something meaningful—a faith-based financial planner that encourages others to prepare for life’s challenges with faith, hope, and purpose.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the most important lessons I’ve had to unlearn is the belief that strength means handling everything on my own.
My breast cancer journey taught me otherwise. During treatment and recovery, I learned to lean on my faith, accept support from family and friends, and trust that I didn’t have to carry every burden by myself.
I realized that “Its Already Written “ and If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it!
