We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ernest Musik a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ernest, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

At the tender age of five, I had my first profound encounter with music that would shape my future. It was a sunny afternoon when I discovered my great-grandmother’s old grand piano. As I approached the instrument, a sense of wonder washed over me. I sat down with a mix of curiosity and excitement, and as my small hands hovered over the keys, something instantly happened. With a gentle press, I began to play, instinctively finding melodies that seemed to flow from within me. In that moment, I felt an undeniable connection to the music and a deep yearning to pursue a life filled with creativity and artistic expression.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?

Ernest Musik is a highly accomplished singer-songwriter and producer from Cleburne, Texas. He discovered his musical talent during his freshman year of high school while performing. Since then, he has continually refined his vocal skills and maintained a strong presence in live performances, complementing his studio work. After gaining experience in various ensembles, he pursued a solo career in 2013 and dedicated his life to Yeshua.

From 2017 until November 2021, he was contracted with Renew Your Mind Records, during which he released two albums, *From the Heart* and *One Journey to Another*. Following the closure of the label, he established his own multimedia production company, EM.ENT. All future projects will be released through this company, starting with *The Ernest Musik Experience* that is currently in production.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most fulfilling aspect of being a creative individual is the profound sense of pride and satisfaction that comes from sharing your work with the world. When you invest time and energy into developing your ideas, crafting your art, or honing your skills, the joy of seeing your creations resonate with others is truly rewarding. Knowing that your contributions can inspire, provoke thought, or bring joy to people in society makes the entire creative process worthwhile.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Throughout my musical career, I have encountered numerous setbacks and failures that have tested my resilience and determination. Each challenge, whether it was a poorly received performance, a disappointing audition, or a missed opportunity, served as a valuable learning experience. Despite the difficulties, these moments have shaped my growth as an artist and have instilled in me a deeper understanding of my craft. I have learned to embrace these obstacles as stepping stones on my journey, driving me to improve and evolve in my musical endeavors.
