We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Christine Brogdon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Christine below.
Hi Christine, thanks for joining us today. Folks often look at a successful business and imagine it was an overnight success, but from what we’ve seen this is often far from the truth. We’d love to hear your scaling up story – walk us through how you grew over time – what were some of the big things you had to do to grow and what was that scaling up journey like?
⸻
When I first started my business, I thought scaling meant working harder. Over time, I learned that scaling is really about building systems, developing people, and creating impact beyond yourself.
My journey began with offering branding, marketing, and business consulting services. Like many entrepreneurs, I wore every hat—sales, marketing, design, operations, client management, and fulfillment. While that helped me understand every aspect of my business, it also created bottlenecks. There came a point where I realized I couldn’t continue growing if everything depended on me.
One of the biggest shifts came when I stopped thinking like a freelancer and started thinking like a CEO. I invested heavily in systems, automation, partnerships, and processes that allowed me to serve more people without sacrificing quality. I built frameworks that could be replicated and taught, which enabled me to move from simply providing services to creating solutions and ecosystems.
Another key factor in scaling was expanding my vision beyond business growth and focusing on community impact. Through initiatives such as TEDx Reisterstown, workforce development programs, nonprofit work, and AI education, I began creating opportunities that extended beyond revenue and into transformation. That shift opened doors to partnerships, speaking engagements, leadership opportunities, and relationships that accelerated growth in ways I never could have planned.
Of course, the journey wasn’t without obstacles. I’ve experienced financial setbacks, projects that didn’t go as planned, periods of uncertainty, and moments where I questioned whether I was on the right path. There were times I had to rebuild, pivot, and learn difficult lessons about leadership, boundaries, and stewardship. Looking back, those seasons became some of my greatest teachers.
One lesson I share often is that sustainable growth rarely happens overnight. It happens through consistency, adaptability, faith, and a willingness to keep moving forward even when results aren’t immediate. Every challenge forced me to become a better leader, and every success reinforced the importance of staying connected to purpose.
Today, my work spans business consulting, AI workforce development, leadership initiatives, TEDx organizing, and community impact projects. While the scale has grown significantly, the mission remains the same: helping people and organizations unlock the potential that already exists within them and empowering them to walk boldly in the purpose they were created for,

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I am Christine Nabria Brogdon, a Kingdom Entrepreneur, TEDx Organizer, AI Workforce Advocate, Business Strategist, Speaker, and Founder of Kingdom Business Unlimited and Innovating Futures Foundation. My work sits at the intersection of business, technology, workforce development, media, and community impact. No matter what project I’m leading, my mission remains the same: helping people, businesses, and communities unlock their potential and create meaningful impact.
My journey began as a creative entrepreneur with a passion for helping businesses communicate their vision through branding, marketing, and digital experiences. What started with graphic design and website development evolved into business consulting, workforce development initiatives, technology programs, media platforms, and large-scale community projects. Along the way, I discovered that my greatest passion wasn’t simply building businesses, it was helping others turn ideas into reality.
Today, through Kingdom Business Unlimited, I help entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and organizations strengthen their brands, improve operations, implement technology solutions, leverage artificial intelligence, and create sustainable growth strategies. I specialize in helping visionaries move from ideas to execution through business strategy, branding, automation, systems development, and organizational growth.
Through Innovating Futures Foundation, my work expands into workforce development, education, and community empowerment. One of the accomplishments I am particularly proud of is partnering with Google to help connect individuals to career-building opportunities through Google Career Certificates and digital skills training. I believe technology and education should create pathways to opportunity, and I am passionate about helping people gain access to the tools and resources they need to thrive in today’s economy.
I am also a graduate of programs through the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center, which strengthened my commitment to innovation, leadership, and building scalable solutions that create lasting impact. These experiences have helped shape my approach to entrepreneurship by combining business growth with community transformation.
Most recently, I was honored to become President of the United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA) Baltimore Organizing Group. As this new chapter continues to unfold, I am excited about helping connect local leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and changemakers to conversations and initiatives that have both local and global impact. It aligns perfectly with my passion for leadership development, workforce innovation, education, and creating opportunities that strengthen communities.
Another area I am passionate about is media and storytelling. I have worked on developing media initiatives and television network concepts designed to educate, inspire, and empower audiences through positive and transformational content. I believe media has the power to influence culture, and I am committed to creating platforms that amplify voices, ideas, and stories that can change lives.
Many people also know me as the Founder and Lead Organizer of TEDx Reisterstown. Creating a TEDx platform in our community has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career because it provides innovators, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers with an opportunity to share ideas worth spreading on a global stage. Watching individuals step into their purpose and use their voices to inspire others is something I never take for granted.
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge worlds that are often viewed separately. I combine faith with innovation, technology with human connection, business strategy with community impact, and vision with execution. I don’t simply help people build businesses I help them build ecosystems, opportunities, platforms, and legacies.
What I am most proud of isn’t a title, partnership, or accomplishment. It is the ability to create opportunities for others. Whether helping an entrepreneur launch a business, connecting someone to workforce training, organizing a TEDx event, building a media platform, or creating community programs, my greatest fulfillment comes from seeing people discover what is possible and step boldly into their purpose.
I want people to know that my work has always been about impact. Success is important, but significance matters more. My goal is to use entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, media, and faith to help create stronger businesses, stronger leaders, and stronger communities. If my work leaves people better equipped, more empowered, and more hopeful about their future, then I consider that success.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
Like many entrepreneurs, I didn’t start with a large investment, outside funding, or a team of people behind me. I started with a vision, determination, and a willingness to bet on myself.
In the early days, I bootstrapped my business using my own resources and reinvested revenue from client projects back into the company. Every website, branding project, marketing campaign, and consulting opportunity became a building block that helped fund the next stage of growth. Rather than waiting for perfect conditions or large amounts of capital, I focused on creating value, serving clients well, and growing strategically over time.
There were definitely moments when resources were limited and I had to be creative. I learned how to maximize what I had, leverage technology, build relationships, and focus on generating results. That mindset taught me the importance of resilience, resourcefulness, and stewardship.
As the business grew, I continued to reinvest into education, certifications, technology, events, marketing, and infrastructure. Opportunities such as participating in programs through the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center, building strategic partnerships, and expanding my professional network helped accelerate growth and open doors that may not have been accessible otherwise.
One thing I’m proud of is that much of what I’ve built has come from consistency, faith, and reinvestment. The journey taught me that capital isn’t always just financial. Sometimes your greatest assets are your knowledge, relationships, creativity, reputation, and ability to solve problems.
Today, I still believe one of the most powerful lessons for entrepreneurs is that you don’t have to start with everything. You start with what you have, remain committed to the vision, continue creating value, and build step by step. That’s how many successful businesses are created, and it’s certainly been a major part of my story.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Yes, it did.
What started as a side hustle creating websites, branding, and marketing materials for businesses eventually grew into a full-time career. As I worked with more clients, I realized they needed more than creative services—they needed strategy, systems, growth planning, and business development support.
Over time, that evolved into Kingdom Business Unlimited, where I now help entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and organizations with business strategy, branding, technology, AI integration, and growth. Along the way, key milestones included partnering with Google on workforce development initiatives, graduating from programs through the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center, founding TEDx Reisterstown, and most recently serving as President of the UNA-USA Baltimore Organizing Group.
What began as helping businesses tell their stories has grown into helping people build businesses, create opportunities, and make meaningful impact in their communities.
