We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Marlisha Applewhite. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Marlisha below.
Marlisha, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
As a someone who enjoy learning new things and figuring it out herself. I learn from just trying and studying what it is that I am trying to learn and later accomplishing. I will not say everything I put my mind to has been easy to achieve. I mean still to this day I’m learning as a growing creator I am. However, I can say knowing what I know now I feel as if I could have maybe been further in life, but I feel like every that as If everything worth lasting takes time. I came across plenty mistakes with learning better ways to edit, write, film and even just by not being in my head so much when it comes to creating. I now write when my mind is at peace, relaxed and just brainstorming. It helps me think visually verse trying to create just because I know I can if that make sense. So, having a clear mind helps and maybe sitting in a silent area with a beautiful view helping your mind explore.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am Marlisha Applewhite, the founder of RAVE PRODUCTIONS, and my work centers on creativity such as films, photographer, mental health, writing and acting. I got into this field through just wanting to show my story through film from my first film CUT DEEP and booked COVERED SCARS, and over time that passion grew into a business focused on sharing my truths to motivate and inspire others to never shallow who they are and or going or been through in life.
Through my brand, I provide creative work, all designed to help people like me achieve letting go of past trauma while growing from it. At the heart of what I do is a commitment to building yourself mentally. I aim to make the people feel more secure of themselves within life.
What sets me apart is how raw I am to share my experience, process, or values in what I create from my story and purpose in life. I believe people connect not only with great results of someone’s story of overcoming, but also with authenticity, consistency, and intention, so I bring those qualities into every part of my work.
What I am most proud of is my achievement, growth, impact, personal milestone Ive scored over the years. For me, success is not only about what I create, but also about the way it makes people feel and the value it brings to their lives.
Above all, I want potential client’s/supporters to know that I stands for and work towards providing and creating work that is both meaningful and lasting, and to build something people genuinely trust, connect with, and remember.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The rewarding aspect of being a creator is seeing my visons come to life and actually making sense with a purpose to connect and grow with not only my insights but with people who love what I bring to social platforms and even the real world.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
There are many resources I did not know about such as being able to rent nice studio places to film, creative and just elevate overall in those spaces. This is mainly what I would mainly do so this resource was one that surprise me the most.
