Hi Kaly, thanks for joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.

The Story Behind the Brand

Starting a clothing brand was never just about fashion for me—it was about purpose, faith, and having the courage to walk into the calling God placed on my life.

For years, I worked a stable, well-paying job that provided security for my family. On paper, everything looked good. Yet deep inside, I felt a growing desire to pursue something greater—something that aligned with my passion, creativity, and purpose. That dream was building my own clothing brand.

Like many people who stand at the crossroads of comfort and calling, I struggled with fear. The thought of leaving a secure career to pursue entrepreneurship was overwhelming. Questions filled my mind: What if I fail? What if I make the wrong decision? What if I can’t provide for my family?

Instead of making an emotional decision, I turned to God in prayer. I asked Him repeatedly for wisdom, direction, and confirmation. I didn’t want to move based on feelings alone—I wanted to move when He said it was time.

As I continued to pray, God began opening my eyes in ways I couldn’t ignore. Through circumstances, conversations, opportunities, and repeated confirmations, He continued to point me in the same direction. The signs became clear: it was time to step out on faith and pursue the vision He had placed in my heart.

Even with those confirmations, taking that leap wasn’t easy. Leaving behind financial security required faith, trust, and complete dependence on God. Eventually, I made the decision to walk away from my job and fully commit to building my brand.

I can honestly say that I would not have been able to make this journey alone.

My wife has been one of my greatest blessings and strongest supporters throughout this process. When fear tried to hold me back, she encouraged me. When uncertainty appeared, she stood beside me. She believed in the vision, sacrificed alongside me, and helped carry the weight of building something from the ground up. Her love, support, and faith gave me the confidence to keep moving forward even when the road ahead wasn’t clear.

Today, this brand represents more than clothing. It represents faith over fear, purpose over comfort, and obedience over uncertainty. It is proof that sometimes God calls us to leave what is familiar so we can step into what He has prepared for us.

Every design, every product, and every step of this journey is a reminder that when faith is stronger than fear, extraordinary things can happen.

Fashion and creativity have been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I developed a natural eye for color, style, and design. Even as a child, I understood how colors worked together and how the right combination could create confidence and make a lasting impression. By the third grade, I was already developing my own sense of style, and throughout middle school and high school, I was recognized by my peers for my distinctive ability to dress well and coordinate colors.

That passion for color followed me into my professional career. For more than 15 years, I worked in the paint industry, specializing in color matching and stain formulation for contractors and cabinet manufacturers. The work required precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of color theory. Whether matching custom paint colors or creating the perfect stain, I built a reputation for excellence and consistency. Looking back, I believe those years sharpened a gift that God had already placed within me.

What sets me apart as a fashion designer is not just my ability to create clothing—it’s my ability to see color, balance, and design in a unique way. I believe this is more than a learned skill; it is a gift I was born with. It allows me to create pieces that not only look great but also help people express themselves with confidence.

My mission goes beyond selling apparel. I want to inspire people to feel confident, look their best, and embrace their individuality. Whether I’m helping someone put together the perfect outfit or designing premium-quality clothing for my customers, my goal is always the same: to help people feel empowered by what they wear.

The most rewarding part of this journey is seeing an idea that once existed only in my imagination come to life. Watching a concept evolve from a vision into a finished product is an incredible feeling and a constant reminder of why I chose this path. Every design tells a story, every collection reflects a purpose, and every piece is created with passion, creativity, and attention to detail.

For me, fashion is more than clothing—it’s confidence, self-expression, and the art of bringing vision to life. And this journey is only the beginning.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Being known for dressing nice I think helped me a lot, I can’t call myself a fashion designer and can’t dress lol.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

One of the most defining moments of my life came in 2008. At just 23 years old, I found myself at one of the lowest points I had ever experienced. I was facing challenges, uncertainty, and difficult questions about my future. At the time, it felt like everything around me was falling apart, but looking back, I now realize it was a pivotal season that would ultimately transform my life.

During that difficult period, I turned to God in a way I never had before. What began as a search for answers became a journey of faith, self-discovery, and personal growth. Through prayer, reflection, and a deeper relationship with Him, I began to see myself more clearly. God revealed areas of my life where I needed to grow, mature, and take responsibility. He challenged me to stop making excuses, embrace accountability, and become the man He created me to be.

That process wasn’t always easy, but it was necessary. As I committed to making changes and aligning my life with God’s purpose, everything began to shift. My mindset changed, my priorities changed, and my outlook on life changed. I developed a stronger sense of direction, discipline, and faith that continues to guide me today.

One of the greatest blessings to come from that transformation was meeting my wife and building the family I had always desired. Having grown up in a separated-parent household, I longed for a strong, loving, and united family of my own. God not only restored my vision for what life could be, but He blessed me with a partner who shares my values, supports my dreams, and has helped me build the foundation of the family I once prayed for.

What once felt like my lowest point became the beginning of my greatest growth. That season taught me that adversity can become a catalyst for transformation when you allow God to lead the way. It showed me that sometimes the challenges we face are not meant to break us—they are meant to shape us into the person we are called to become.

Today, I carry those lessons with me in every area of my life—as a husband, father, entrepreneur, and man of faith. My story is a testament to the power of faith, accountability, perseverance, and the life-changing impact of trusting God’s plan, even when you cannot yet see the outcome.
