We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ka’imi KUOHA. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ka’imi below.
Ka’imi , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.
One of the most important things my parents did right was model grit and determination. Growing up, I watched them work hard, push through challenges, and stay committed even when things were difficult.
Seeing that firsthand taught me that success isn’t about avoiding obstacles, it’s about continuing to move forward despite them. That mindset has shaped both my personal life and career, helping me stay resilient, adaptable, and focused on long-term goals when facing setbacks or uncertainty.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a professor, martial artist, and stunt choreographer with a passion for teaching, movement, and storytelling. My career has been built around helping people unlock their potential, whether in the classroom, through martial arts training, or on film and television productions.
As a martial artist and stunt professional, I’ve dedicated years to studying and refining the art of movement, discipline, and performance. This experience naturally evolved into stunt choreography, where I combine technical skill, creativity, and safety to bring action sequences to life. As an educator, I enjoy sharing that knowledge and helping others develop confidence, resilience, and mastery in their craft.
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge the worlds of education, martial arts, and entertainment. I believe that the principles of discipline, preparation, and continuous growth apply to every area of life. Whether I’m teaching students, training athletes, or choreographing action scenes, my goal is always to inspire excellence and help others perform at their highest level.
What I’m most proud of is the positive impact I’ve had on the people I’ve worked with; seeing students succeed, martial artists grow, and creative projects come to life. Above all, I want people to know that my work is driven by a commitment to authenticity, lifelong learning, and empowering others to achieve more than they thought possible.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I met my co-founders through relationships that have spanned decades and are rooted in shared values and mutual respect.
Nolan Zackel has been one of my best friends since our teenage years. Over the years, we remained connected through our passion for martial arts, and Nolan went on to become a professional full-contact fighter. Our longtime friendship eventually evolved into a business partnership.
I met Israel Palacio in San Diego. Having trained in martial arts in Mexico City, Israel shared my passion for martial arts, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. What began as a friendship grew into a partnership in both business and life. Today, he is not only my co-founder but also my husband.
Together, we built our company on a foundation of friendship, trust, discipline, and a shared vision for helping others reach their full potential.

How did you build your audience on social media?
My growth on social media started with a simple commitment: a 30-day challenge. For 30 consecutive days, I documented my training, sharing videos and photos of my martial arts practice, workouts, and daily discipline. I wasn’t focused on going viral, I was focused on showing up consistently and sharing my authentic journey.
As people followed along, they connected with the dedication, consistency, and cinematic look at my training. The challenge created momentum, increased engagement, and helped grow my Instagram audience much more quickly than I expected. More importantly, it allowed me to build a community of people who were inspired by martial arts, personal growth, and living with intention.
That experience taught me that consistency and authenticity are some of the most powerful tools for building a meaningful presence on social media.
