We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Beth White. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Beth below.
Beth, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
When I’m working on new project, whether it is a single release or an EP, it becomes the most meaningful to me. My current project and release, I’ve been working on since November 2025. When you put so much time, energy, and effort into something, and it is somehow incorporated into every day, it becomes so special to you. So, my current upcoming single release on June 26th titled, “What I Want”, is the project that is currently the most meaningful to me. I’m so excited for it to finally be ready for the listener’s ears!

Beth, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I grew up in a small town in southwest Wisconsin and have been performing my entire life. I grew up singing in church, competing in dance nationally, and performing in many plays and theater products. I started to become more serious about becoming a singer and songwriter when I learned guitar when I was 12 years old. I started writing my own songs that same year and decided I wanted to pursue being a singer-songwriter when I graduated High School. In 2011 I moved to Nashville, TN to attend Belmont University and pursue music. I play out with my band at various local venues including The 5 Spot and The Basement. In 2018, after hearing “Afterlife” on Lightning 100 Radio Station in Nashville, TN, Sheryl Crow named me as “One not to miss.” My debut EP, “Soul Evolution”, was released on August 12th, 2017 and the single, “Afterlife”, was added to heavy rotation on Lightning 100 radio station in Nashville. In 2018, my band and I were also named semifinalists by Lightning 100 radio station in Nashville for the Road to Bonnaroo competition, making it to the top 5 out of 250 bands. “Conditional”, a 70’s soul inspired tune about relationship struggles and how one’s reciprocation of love is sometimes conditional, which was released in March, 2018, was premiered by nationally recognized Relix Magazine and received airplay from multiple radio stations across the nation. On August 16, 2019, I released my single, “Free”, an upbeat, soul-pop, Allen Stone inspired tune, featuring many powerhouse industry veterans including Ryan Connors, Akil Thompson (LeAnne Rimes, Kelly Clarkson), De Marco Johnson (Joe Cocker, Marc Broussard), and Jake Botts (Kelly Clarkson). “Free” was released on popular Youtube series “New York/Nashville Connection”. My latest two singles, “You’re Mine” and “Pretty Baby” received air play from multiple radio stations across the nation. “Pretty Baby” premiered during a release performance at The 5 Spot in Nashville, TN and the single earned strong reviewed from UMC Nashville and was highlighted in an accompanying editorial feature. My upcoming single, “What I Want” is set to be release in June 26th on all streaming platforms.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
It’s simple: It makes me happy.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
It’s so rewarding to see people singing your songs when you perform live, or when people reach out to you on social media to tell you how your music has helped them. I had someone reach out to tell me my song “Afterlife” was used as the song their exit song at their wedding, and that was just mind-blowing to me!
