We recently connected with Donii Bright and have shared our conversation below.
Donii, appreciate you joining us today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
most def. i feel like people think my music is fake or virtue signaling for suicidal victims when in fact its not. yeah im happy and usually appear upbeat at all times, but these are things on my mind at all times. the little things running in the background & music is the only way i can get it out. whether properly or improperly at the time does not matter to me. i just gotta get it out

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
uhhh long story short. i made some magazines, started modeling, my hg Erika told the homies at Faded Decade about me, and at the same time i started working with Frontier & Deadworks at the time. the rest is history

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
Not a Fucking Thing. the best scam known to man. it worked so well people are still trading wallpapers like their lives depend on it

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
not everyone is your friend. your peers only want to be cool. nobody genuinely cares about “good” music. just good vibes.
