We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Pili Nemer. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Pili below.
Pili, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
COVID gave me the push to start my own online business helping women live a healthier and sustainable life. I was working in person at different gyms taking people through hour long workouts but that wasn’t filling up my cup, I wasn’t making real change so when then pandemic started, it forced me and 6 years later, we are still going strong and growing!
There wasn’t much of an idea, more so, a it happened through unintentional but a lot of consistent action. I noticed the pandemic wasn’t a short term thing so I individually invited my friends and followers to privately (through Zoom) join me for some home workouts, we ended up building a 400+ people challenge. From there, we started taking it more seriously and established a business, created a website and started coaching women online on a 1-on-1 basis.
Pili’s Fitness Academy launched in 2020.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
My name is Pili Nemer, and I’m a fitness coach, athlete, and founder who is passionate about helping people discover what they’re truly capable of, both physically and mentally. Fitness has been a transformative part of my life, and what started as a personal journey eventually evolved into a career dedicated to helping others build strength, confidence, and resilience.
Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals from all walks of life, from beginners taking their first steps into fitness to experienced athletes looking to improve performance.
Through my coaching, programs, challenges, and community initiatives, I help people develop sustainable habits, improve their fitness, and create a healthier relationship with exercise. My approach focuses on long-term success rather than quick fixes. I believe fitness should enhance your life, not consume it, and that consistency will always outperform perfection.
What sets me apart is my commitment to building genuine connections and creating supportive communities. I want every person I work with to feel seen, encouraged, and capable. Fitness can often feel intimidating, but my goal is to make it accessible, empowering, and enjoyable. Whether someone is training for a competition, pursuing a weight-loss goal, or simply trying to feel stronger and healthier, I strive to meet them where they are and provide the guidance and accountability they need to succeed.
One of the things I am most proud of is the community we’ve built. Watching people gain confidence, achieve goals they once thought were impossible, and inspire others through their own journeys is incredibly rewarding. Those transformations go far beyond physical changes, they impact mindset, self-belief, and overall quality of life.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple mission: to help people realize that they are stronger than they think. I want potential clients, followers, and community members to know that fitness is for everyone, progress is always possible, and they do not have to do it alone. My brand is built on empowerment, education, authenticity, and support, and I am committed to helping others create lasting results that extend far beyond the gym.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Honesty and authenticity are very important. You want to have peoples loyalty and trust. Without trust, there is no brand, no business no sales.
Show up on the good and the bad days, be relatable, that’s how people feel heard and seen. Not filtering yourself, not portraying yourself to be a character or some sort of “perfect” role.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
You don’t need to have it all figured out, in fact you shouldn’t. Start with what you know and what you have, the rest will get sorted!!
You do not need to be everyone’s cup of tea. To build a business you may make some enemies, let them be! Not everyone is always going to agree with your decisions.
Take ownership of your actions, lead from the front, be relatable and be fearless!
