We recently connected with Muriel Ottoni and have shared our conversation below.
Muriel, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
There wasn’t one single moment, but rather a gradual realization that success without alignment was no longer enough for me.
For many years, I built my career in corporate environments focused on marketing, partnerships, strategy, and client relationships. Professionally, everything looked successful from the outside — international experience, strong results, growth opportunities, and recognition. But internally, I started questioning the pace, the meaning behind the work, and the disconnect so many people experience between achievement and presence.
A defining turning point came when I understood that I didn’t want to choose between the professional world and a more conscious way of living. I wanted to integrate both.
That realization completely changed the trajectory of my career and personal brand. Instead of separating business, wellness, leadership, creativity, and spirituality into different parts of my life, I began building a more intentional approach that combines all of them.
Through yoga, conscious leadership, community experiences, and strategic branding, I started creating spaces and projects centered not only around performance, but also around presence, authenticity, and meaningful connection.
One of the biggest lessons I learned is that true prosperity is not only about external success. It is about sustainability — energetically, emotionally, creatively, and professionally. When your work becomes aligned with your values and your inner state, opportunities begin to feel more organic, relationships become more genuine, and success stops feeling disconnected from who you are.
Today, my work is deeply influenced by that philosophy: building with intention, leading with awareness, and creating experiences that allow people to reconnect with themselves while still fully participating in modern life.

Muriel, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Muriel Ottoni is a Brazilian strategic communications professional, civil diplomat, and conscious leadership facilitator whose work bridges business, wellness, culture, and human transformation.
With a background in brand partnerships, marketing strategy, client relations, and experiential projects, Muriel built her career working across corporate environments, international collaborations, and human-centered initiatives. Over time, her professional path naturally evolved into a deeper integration between strategic leadership and consciousness-based work.
Today, through her platform Ang Sang Karam, Muriel creates experiences focused on presence, awareness, emotional intelligence, energetic balance, and personal transformation. Her work includes Kundalini Yoga classes, immersive workshops, retreats, conscious events, mentorship, and educational experiences designed to help people reconnect with themselves in a more authentic and elevated way.
What sets Muriel apart is her ability to unite two worlds that are often separated: high-level strategic thinking and deep human sensitivity. Her approach combines professionalism, sophistication, intuition, and real-life experience — creating spaces where people can grow not only spiritually, but also emotionally, personally, and professionally.
In addition to her wellness and leadership work, Muriel was also honored as a civil diplomat, a recognition that reflects her commitment to cultural connection, communication, and human development.
One of the things she is most proud of is creating experiences that genuinely impact people’s lives beyond aesthetics or trends. Her work is rooted in authenticity, presence, and meaningful connection.
Through her content, events, and international vision, Muriel hopes to inspire others to live with greater consciousness, freedom, purpose, and alignment — while remembering that success and spirituality do not need to exist separately.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe one of the main things that helped me build my reputation was the ability to combine strategy with authenticity.
In both the corporate and wellness spaces, people can immediately feel when something is purely transactional versus when it is built with real intention and consistency. Throughout my career, I focused not only on delivering results, but also on building genuine relationships, trust, and long-term connections.
My background in marketing, partnerships, and brand strategy taught me how important positioning, communication, and audience perception are. At the same time, my personal journey through yoga, mindfulness, and conscious leadership helped me understand the importance of presence, emotional intelligence, and human connection.
I think what differentiates my work is that I naturally bridge these two worlds.
I bring a strategic and professional mindset into wellness and conscious leadership spaces, while also bringing depth, creativity, and emotional awareness into business environments. That combination has allowed me to connect with a very diverse audience — from entrepreneurs and creatives to wellness communities and professionals looking for a more intentional way of living and leading.
Consistency has also played a major role in building my reputation. Over time, I learned that credibility is not built through one moment or one viral project, but through the energy and quality you sustain consistently behind everything you create.
Another important factor has been aesthetics and experience design. I care deeply about how people feel when they interact with my work, my events, my content, or my brand. I believe luxury today is not only about appearance — it’s about presence, intentionality, detail, and emotional resonance.
Most importantly, I’ve stayed committed to evolving authentically instead of trying to fit into a predefined category. I think people connect with brands and leaders who feel multidimensional, human, and real.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots in my life and career happened during a very personal and transformative period of my life.
For many years, I was deeply immersed in the corporate world, working in marketing, partnerships, strategy, and relationship management in high-performance environments. Professionally, everything looked successful from the outside. But internally, I was going through a very different experience.
After going through significant personal losses and emotional challenges, I reached a point where I realized I could no longer ignore my mental and emotional well-being. I made the difficult decision to step away from my career for a period of time and fully focus on my mental health, mindfulness, healing, and spirituality.
At the time, it felt like a huge leap into the unknown. In many ways, I was letting go of the version of success I had always been taught to pursue. But looking back now, I see that moment as one of the most important decisions of my life.
During that period, I explored different healing modalities, spiritual philosophies, and mindfulness practices in search of something that truly resonated with me on a deeper level. That was when I found yoga — and eventually Kundalini Yoga — in a way that completely transformed my relationship with myself, my energy, and my understanding of life.
What started as a personal healing journey slowly became something much bigger.
As I deepened my practice and later began sharing and teaching Kundalini Yoga with others, I felt that I had finally found something incredibly meaningful — almost like finding an inner treasure that had always existed within me, but that I had not fully accessed before.
More than anything, yoga gave me balance, self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a sense of inner stability that no external circumstance could provide. It changed the way I move through the world.
One of the greatest lessons from that experience is understanding that true well-being is not dependent on external conditions. When you cultivate inner alignment, presence, and energetic awareness, you begin to carry that stability within yourself wherever you go.
That experience deeply shaped the work I do today and the philosophy behind my brand. It is also why my approach to leadership, wellness, branding, and life itself is rooted in the idea that success should never come at the expense of your inner state.
Today, I believe it is possible to build a life that is both ambitious and conscious — one where professional success, personal fulfillment, mental well-being, and spirituality can coexist in a much more integrated and authentic way.
