We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Cortney Rose a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Cortney, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

The story behind the mission:

Every person in life will experience a time where it seems like they are experiencing failure, defeat, or great adversity. I’ve had my experience too, however, we are defined by how we respond to life not what we experience in life. I hope my life experiences display one of great love, defeat but then victory. I’ve seen life knock down so many times, I just want you to not take it personally when experiencing difficulty but instead get back up swinging and fight harder than ever.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I’m Coach Cortney Rose, from Stockton, California. Those that know me best undoubtedly describe me as relentless, high-spirited and above all else, FEARLESS!

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial inclination from the time I was a child, selling candy to the neighborhood kids to having a garage sale and selling my parent’s household items while they were on vacation. I launched my career as a Tax Analyst at the age of 23, leveraging my business aptitude and grit through the years to make millions and now have retired myself from the day-to-day operation of my business at age 33. Through working smarter, not harder I’ve been able to achieve financial freedom. This freedom has given me the gift of time, which has allowed me to focus on becoming a better version of myself. After years of internal work nothing is more important to me now than teaching others how to do the same.

My mindset has enabled me to accomplish so many things. I believe that your habits, commitments, and the level of discipline you have determine how far you can go in your life. You are your biggest hurdle or your biggest strength.

My mission is to help others experience the freedom and happiness we all intuitively seek. I specialize in mindset transformation. I can help you become unstuck, eliminate a struggle mentality and ultimately help you find the pathway to freedom. I’ve cracked the code to building a successful 6 figure business while simultaneously mastering my physical, mental, relational and financial health and am here to help you do the same. My years of experience has led me to creating a blueprint that will change your life.

My journey to success has not been easy, I’ve failed many times but use these experiences to learn, grow and take me to the next level. I’ll forever be a work in progress but I can confidently say I’ve made it. I’m excited to help you do the same.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.

I never had a side hustle, I’ve only had a business. From day one even when the business was at the beginning stages, not generating the income I wanted it to bring in, I never labeled it as a side hustle. I’ve always labeled it as a business. Granted all businesses start small, the issue is often as business owners, we label our business as a side hustle and the end result is the business stays small. We fail to do something as simple as properly identify and classify our business as what it is, a business in its development stages, instead we mis-label the business and the end result is, it stays where and what we’ve called it, a side hustle.

Day one I had a vision for my business. The vision was my business would be my full time endeavor and it would be a learning institution for others to come and learn how to do taxes, create freedom, work less, make more, experience freedom through this industry. Because I’ve always seen the business as a business, I’ve dumped exorbit amounts of time, energy & effort into building it. I’ve never called or treated it small. I’ve never given it side energy and the end result is, it’s grown year after year to levels unimaginable.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Character, a heart to really serve, never give up, commitment to excellence and giving my absolute best to my team and those I serve, I believe has been the success factor in my reputation. My reputation to myself has been a priority over my reputation to others, to know I am doing my best, giving my all, and really have a heart to serve. Because I care more about what I think of me then what others think of me has allowed me to always make sure I do the right thing, give my all. Even when others were saying I was great, when I knew I could have given more, made improvements, I did exactly that. Caring more about what you know and you feel about you and the quality of your product, service or business will always be the driving factor for a great reputation.
