We recently connected with Robert Roman and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Robert thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
The idea for my digital content and strategy business didn’t come to me in a quiet office; it was born in the middle of the New York City traffic. Currently, I spend my days driving for Uber, but my mind has always been elsewhere—specifically, in the world of technology and creativity.
Back in the Dominican Republic, I studied Systems Engineering. As a child, I always dreamed of ‘conquering the world from a computer.’ Even though I didn’t finish my degree, that technical DNA stayed with me. I’ve always been obsessed with how things work and how people interact.
The true turning point happened through a personal passion: perfumery. I became obsessed with scents, the art of smelling good, and the stories a fragrance can tell. With a little nudge from friends, I decided to merge everything I loved. I realized that if I combined my technical background (Systems) with my creative eye and my ability to talk for hours about fragrances, I had something unique. I started creating perfume reviews on social media, not just as a hobby, but as my ‘entry gate’ into professional cinematography and photography.
While driving through NYC, I observed the local businesses around me. I saw so many talented entrepreneurs who had great products but didn’t know how to tell their story or ‘look’ the part online. That’s when the logic clicked: I knew I could succeed because I don’t just take ‘pretty photos.’ I understand the systems behind the content. I understand the strategy needed to increase flow and engagement.
Moving from the driver’s seat to the director’s chair is my current mission. My business is built on the belief that digital content should be as intentional and well-structured as a line of code, but as evocative and emotional as a luxury perfume.

Robert, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
About Me, My Work, and the Brand
The Intersection of Strategy, Technology, and Visual Storytelling
I am a creator who believes that digital content should be more than just “looking good”—it should be a high-performing system. My journey into this industry is a blend of technical logic and sensory passion. Coming from a background in Systems Engineering in the Dominican Republic, I’ve always been fascinated by how different parts work together to create a result. This “systems-thinking” is the foundation of my creative work today.
Currently based in New York, I am building a business focused on Digital Content Creation (Photography and Video) paired with Content Strategy. I don’t just deliver a file; I help clients build a flow that attracts more customers to their businesses.
What I Provide & The Problems I Solve:
I provide cinematic storytelling and high-quality photography designed specifically for social media growth. Many business owners have incredible products but struggle to communicate their value in a digital world that moves fast. I solve that “visibility gap.” Whether it’s through the lens of a camera or the architecture of a content plan, I help my clients stop the scroll and turn viewers into loyal followers.
What Sets Me Apart:
What truly differentiates my brand is the “Systems Mindset.” Because of my engineering background, I see content as a set of variables that must be optimized. Also, my personal obsession with perfumery and fragrances has sharpened my eye for luxury, detail, and emotional connection. I know how to make a product feel “premium” through visuals because I understand the nuances of the senses.
What I am Most Proud Of:
I am most proud of my resilience. Transitioning from engineering to the hustle of driving in NYC, while simultaneously teaching myself cinematography and building a brand from scratch, hasn’t been easy. However, seeing the impact my content has on a brand’s reach makes every hour of work worth it.
What I Want You to Know:
I want my potential clients and followers to know that my work is built on authenticity and precision. When you work with me, you’re not just getting a video; you’re getting a piece of “digital real estate” designed to grow your business. My childhood dream was to “dominate the world from a computer,” and today, I’m doing exactly that—one frame at a time, helping others dominate their own markets.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the power to give a ‘voice’ and a ‘soul’ to ideas that were previously invisible. Coming from a technical background in Systems Engineering, I spent years understanding the logic of how things work, but it wasn’t until I picked up a camera and started creating digital strategies that I truly felt I was ‘connecting’ the dots.
In my daily life in New York, I see thousands of faces and hundreds of businesses. Being a creative allows me to stop that frantic pace for a second and capture the essence of a brand or a product—like a perfume that evokes a memory or a video that tells a story of hard work.
There is an incredible sense of fulfillment when a client sees their own business through my work and says, ‘I didn’t know my project could look that professional.’ Knowing that my vision and my technical skills can directly impact someone else’s growth is what makes this journey worthwhile. It’s no longer just about ‘dominating the world from a computer’; it’s about empowering others to dominate their own space through the content we create together.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Resilience, to me, is defined by what you do during the ‘in-between’ moments. My journey in New York is a testament to that. Every day, I get behind the wheel to drive for Uber—a job that requires immense patience and physical grind in one of the busiest cities in the world. But I don’t see the driver’s seat as a permanent station; I see it as the mobile office that funds my dream.
There have been many days where, after an 8 or 10-hour shift navigating NYC traffic, I could easily go home and rest. Instead, I pick up my camera, open my editing software, and spend several more hours studying cinematography or perfecting a content strategy for a client.
A specific moment that stands out was when I first started doing perfume reviews. I didn’t have a professional studio or expensive lighting. I had to use the natural light coming through my windows and apply the logic I learned in Systems Engineering to ‘hack’ my way into professional-looking shots with minimal gear. That hunger to create, regardless of the tools or the fatigue, is what keeps me going. Driving in New York has taught me that the road to success is full of traffic and detours, but as long as you keep your eyes on the destination and keep moving, you will eventually arrive. My resilience is fueled by the childhood dream of ‘conquering the world from a computer,’ and every mile I drive brings me closer to making that my 24/7 reality.
