Alright, Spencer thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
I told God I was really going to try, God! I said I was willing to let go of whatever is stopping me. I started declaring things with excitement, and the feeling was amazing. I believe I can trust my intuition, and that was new for me because the outside voices can be louder than your own.
I found out when you are willing to change and willing not to know the next step, but know I have the ability and am willing to show up, it changes how I view life and contrasting moments. It helped me get an eagle-eye view on situations, myself, and see it as a whole.
With this undeniable belief and willingness to see it through, I stepped into a new environment. I decided to focus on digital marketing to help small businesses grow by dialing in on their specific audience. I was willing to put in the work, so I would reach out to 50 to 75 businesses a day through cold emails and Instagram DMs. I’m pretty sure I messed up a lot of those messages at first, but it got better over time because I stayed consistent. You get different results when you are willing to show up and do the work!
At this moment of my life, I just quit my job because I told myself the night before that if I can make $20 from Instagram giving businesses shoutouts on my page, then I will leave my job and that night I made $60! The next day I clocked in and told my manager I quit and I will ship the computer back tomorrow! I was excited but also like, ‘Spencer, what are you doing?!’ lol. And I told myself this is real and everything will be okay.
That one decision I made for myself opened up an opportunity of moving to Jacksonville, Florida. The next year, I was able to be part of making $80k, and then the following year made six figures with my partner with an online business in the middle of the pandemic of 2020. What a time to be alive, right!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into digital marketing and content creation because I believe I have something to offer to people who are looking to grow. In doing marketing, I noticed—especially with small business owners—that social media has amazing leverage and return if you know how to use it and if you have a system. And I have that system.
I believe in connecting with people on social media to build that bond and trust, so when they do want to spend, they spend with you because you are creating memorable moments. The services I offer include serving humanity, clarity coaching, digital marketing, and work as an influencer and content creator. I specialize in building brands like @capricorntribe_, where I use a premium, minimalist aesthetic—focusing on clean layouts and intentional color palettes—to make sure the message truly resonates.
I would say the problem I solve for my clients is that I find a solution! I know how to leverage that solution. I help bring in systems that bring better results and clarity. My proudest moment is when I finally got up and showed up for myself. When people are working with me, I want them to know: I see you.”
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I get to express myself and connect with those who feel the same and gain new perspective.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I truly reach out to them on social media or just a text saying “Good morning have a phenomenal day or ask them did they eat? If they didn’t I buy them lunch. I found out you truly have to step out of self and when you do you see others.
