We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful DJ Euts. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Atria below.
Alright, Atria aka DJ Euts thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I wouldn’t say this is the most meaningful project but definitely something I look back on & I’m like “you did that!” I did a virtual DJ festival for my events anniversary All The Feels, I had 21 DJs including myself & a host, and I had to schedule the virtual sound checks, create the DJ schedule, come up with the creative direction, and market the event. It’s meaningful for me because not only did it show me the power of the event, but once again it confirmed I can do anything I put my mind to, I didn’t have a team, although I couldn’t have done it without all my DJ friends, I still had to execute everything by myself, not excluding the fact I came up with a creative way to keep the event alive when everything was closed due to the pandemic.

DJ Euts, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a DJ and event curator, I started DJaying my junior year in Hampton university. I would spin at women caucus events and apartment parties. At that time I didn’t have equipment, I was spinning from my laptop. I would like to say I tailor my sets to provide a euphoric feel for the audience, give them a sense of escapism. I don’t always play what my DJ counterparts play which is mainstream or top 40 music, I like to experiment and play different vibes that give the audience something they can feel. I’m most proud of my ability to stay consistent in the field, while being versatile creating my own niche, brand, and event. The main thing I want my followers/clients to know is I will always strive to do my best and do an excellent job.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
There are plenty of times I demonstrated resilience that I probably don’t remember, but instances that come to mind is when I was djaying in the mall consistently and I had to hall all my equipment to different stores and floors by myself. Other scenarios include not having transportation for 4 years and having to hall all my equipment in and out of ubers, or at times when djaying was at a standstill and I continued to create avenues for myself. Truthfully that’s how I came to create All The Feels, nothing was moving djaying wise, and I felt like I wasn’t getting the opportunities I deserved so I said “F it” I’m going to create my own event where I can play what I want and illustrate my style of music. Of course, there’s been times where I wasn’t feeling well and I push through the gig, or when technology randomly goes haywire, like when one side of the DJ controller stops working, a cord goes out, or my DJ app won’t open and I still have to find a way to perform and do a great job.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is being able to see the audience/clients enjoy my work, art, sets, whatever you like to call it, seeing the process of moods changing to higher frequencies, & hearing the client express that directly is the best!
