Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tierra O’Neal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Tierra, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was quitting my 9–5 job without really knowing what was going to happen next. At the time, I had what people would call “stability.” I had a steady paycheck, a routine, and something that made sense on paper. But I wasn’t happy. I knew I was meant to be doing something more creative. I just didn’t know how it was going to come together. Then the opportunity came up for me to work as a celebrity assistant.
To most people, that sounds exciting, and it was… but honestly, it was also scary. Because that meant I’d be walking away from something secure and stepping into something unpredictable. I didn’t know how long the job would last, how things would turn out, or if I’d even be able to handle the pressure. I just knew I couldn’t ignore the feeling that this was a door opening for a reason. And right before I received the opportunity, I was walking around the office telling people I wouldn’t be there much longer lol, not knowing what was really coming. I remember thinking, “This could either be the best decision I ever make… or the dumbest.” But I always knew that I couldn’t stay where I was.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that quitting my 9–5 was really the beginning of me stepping into my purpose. Since then, I’ve been able to make income through my creative business, doing what I actually love. I’ve built something from my talent, my ideas, and my vision. And even though I took that risk without having every detail mapped out, I can honestly say I don’t regret it at all.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
HeavenlyErra Media LLC is a content creation and video editing brand built for storytellers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who are ready to show up like they mean it.
I started HeavenlyErra Media because I realized something: a lot of people have the vision, but they don’t always have the clarity, strategy, or creative execution to bring it to life. That’s where I come in. I specialize in video editing, social media content, YouTube editing, and creative direction, but more than anything, I help brands take what’s in their head and turn it into content that feels intentional, elevated, and true to who they are.
My creativity is deeply rooted in my faith. God has always been my source, and I genuinely believe that when you’re aligned spiritually, mentally, and physically, your creativity flows differently. My work is inspired by nostalgia, great vibes and storytelling. The kind of creativity that reminds you why you started in the first place.
Whether you’re building your personal brand, launching something new, or trying to level up your content presence, I’m here to help you create visuals that don’t just look good… but actually connect. Welcome to my world.
Where art meets intention + and creativity meets purpose.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
There’s definitely a mission behind what I do. My goal is to create work that feels real and actually connects with people, not just content that looks good for the moment. I want to remind people that creativity is deeper than “aesthetics”, it’s storytelling, healing, and purpose.
A big part of my mission is living out my philosophy, In Between the Lens, which is really about being called to both sides of the camera. I love helping others bring their vision to life, but I’m also learning how to show up as the creator and not hide behind the work.
At the end of the day, I want my creativity to reflect God, love, and authenticity. I want people to feel seen, inspired, and encouraged, like they can be themselves and still evolve. That’s my jam.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
One big pivot for me was realizing I didn’t want to just be known as a video editing business. When I first started, I was strictly focused on editing. It brought in income and helped me build my foundation, but over time I started to feel like something was missing. I noticed my clients didn’t only need editing… they needed help with the bigger picture, like direction, structure, and bringing their ideas to life.
So, I expanded my services into things that felt more meaningful, like videography to actually capture their vision and creative direction. At first it was scary because I didn’t want to confuse people or step too far outside of what I was known for, but it ended up being one of the best moves I could’ve made. Now my work feels more aligned because I’m not just editing, I’m helping people build their vision and tell their story with purpose.
