We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Zaadé Tiff. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Zaadé below.
Alright, Zaadé thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Looking back, what’s an important lesson you learned at a prior job?
I wouldn’t say that there is one specific lesson I learned from one specific job. Every job I had coming out of esthetics school taught me something…especially what I did and didn’t want out of getting my license. Many people don’t know that there are so many different roads you can take as an esthetician and having had my license for over 10 years now…I’ve had many different experiences and tried many things in order to get where I am today. I worked for good people and not so good people …and I’ve enjoyed some jobs and not enjoyed just as many…but this is what prepares you for what you are meant to do and for me that is being my own boss. I’m lucky enough to be in an industry where this is possible. Every job has taught me that everyone is replaceable! I believe that there is room for everyone to shine in this industry despite many feeling like it’s a competition. Im still figuring things out as I go while trying to become the best version of myself everyday. It’s hard…some days are great and some are terrible to the point of wanting to give up…but I believe in myself and know that there’s no other option but to push on through. That’s all I can do!

Zaadé, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve been an aesthetician for over 10 years now. I specialize in medical aesthetics. I have paid my dues trying all things esthetics and have had the pleasure of working with some great med spas…dermatologists and plastic surgeons that I still stay in contact with. I believe in results driven facials. Microneedling, Hydrafacial, Diamond Glow, dermaplaning, peels, acne treatment …the list goes on. I get the most pleasure out of helping people improve their skin and help with the graceful aging process. I am building my business everyday and everyday is a work in progress….but I’m not giving up on myself!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The very first job I had out of school was run by someone that said every other person in my industry I should look at as a threat and competition. I believe everyone has a seat at the table and I’m confident enough in myself to know that. I want everyone to win and support all that are trying just like me! It’s all about lifting each other up…not breaking each other down!

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Like I have said…I’ve tried many different fields within esthetics and it hasn’t been easy…I made many changes before buckling down in medical aesthetics. To all still trying to figure it out…don’t give up…you will get there!
