We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Briana Boddie a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Briana, appreciate you joining us today. The more we talk about good leadership the more we think good leadership practices will spread and so we’d love for you to tell us a story about the best boss you’ve had and what they were like or what they did that was so great?

Liliana is the best boss I’ve ever had, and what made her stand out wasn’t just her leadership skills—it was how deeply she cared about the people on her team. She leads with honesty, kindness, and a genuine desire to see each of us succeed.

What makes her such a great leader is that she balanced accountability with empathy. She expected excellence, but she also made you feel supported and valued as a person. Because of her, I became more confident, more willing to step outside of my comfort zone, and more intentional about how I support others on a team.

Her impact has stayed with me. She didn’t just help me grow professionally—she shaped how I think about leadership and the kind of leader I strive to be.

Briana, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I’m the founder of Heiress Designs & Logos, LLC, and the creative voice behind my podcast, Vibing with Bri. At my core, I’m a storyteller and brand builder who is passionate about helping people turn their ideas into something tangible, meaningful, and impactful.

I got into this space because I’ve always been drawn to creativity and communication—whether that’s through design, messaging, or connecting with people on a deeper level. Over time, I realized that many entrepreneurs, especially those just starting out, have powerful ideas but struggle to visually or verbally communicate their vision. That’s where I found my purpose. I began helping individuals and small businesses bring their brands to life through intentional design and strategic storytelling, and it naturally grew into Heiress Designs & Logos, LLC.

Through my business, I provide a range of creative services including logo design, branding packages, and visual identity development. I work closely with clients to ensure their brand not only looks good, but also feels authentic and aligned with who they are and what they stand for. My goal is to help them stand out, build confidence in their brand, and attract the right audience.

In addition to my design work, my podcast Vibing with Bri is an extension of my passion for connection and conversation. It’s a space where I share insights, experiences, and real conversations that inspire, empower, and resonate—especially with people navigating growth, entrepreneurship, and self-discovery.

What sets me apart is my approach. I don’t just deliver a service—I build relationships. I take the time to understand my clients’ stories, their “why,” and their long-term vision. I lead with authenticity, honesty, and care, and I truly want to see the people I work with succeed. That level of intention shows up in the final product and in the overall experience.
What I’m most proud of is the impact I’ve been able to have on others—helping someone see their vision come to life, watching their confidence grow, and knowing I played a part in their journey. There’s nothing more fulfilling than that.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Building my audience on social media didn’t happen overnight—it was a gradual process rooted in consistency, authenticity, and learning what truly resonates with my audience. In the beginning, I focused on simply showing up. I shared my work, my creative process, and pieces of my journey as I was building Heiress Designs & Logos, LLC. At first, it felt like I was talking to a small audience, but I stayed committed and treated every post as an opportunity to connect, not just promote.

As I grew, I became more intentional about my content. I started sharing not just finished designs, but also tips, insights, and relatable moments that other entrepreneurs and creatives could learn from. Launching my podcast, Vibing with Bri, also helped expand my reach because it allowed people to connect with me on a more personal level and engage with my voice and perspective beyond visuals.

Engagement played a big role as well. I made it a priority to respond to comments, support other creators, and build genuine relationships online. Social media became less about numbers and more about community—and that shift made a huge difference.

For anyone just starting to build their social media presence, my biggest advice is to be consistent and be yourself. Don’t wait until everything is perfect to start posting. Share your journey as you grow, not just the polished results. Focus on providing value—whether that’s education, inspiration, or entertainment—and remember that connection is key.

Also, don’t get discouraged by slow growth in the beginning. Everyone starts somewhere. Stay committed, keep learning, and trust that your audience will grow as long as you remain authentic and intentional in how you show up.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I believe what helped me build my reputation within my market is a combination of consistency, authenticity, and genuinely caring about the people I work with. From the beginning, I’ve focused on delivering quality work while also creating a positive, collaborative experience for my clients. I don’t just see projects as transactions—I see them as partnerships.

Word of mouth has been a huge factor in my growth. When clients feel heard, supported, and confident in the final result, they naturally share their experience with others. That trust and relationship-building has helped me establish credibility and expand my network organically.

I’ve also been intentional about showing up as myself—whether through my brand, my communication style, or my podcast, Vibing with Bri. Being transparent, relatable, and consistent in how I present myself has allowed people to connect with me beyond just the services I offer.

Lastly, my commitment to helping others succeed has really set the foundation. I take pride in not only delivering strong visual branding, but also in empowering my clients to feel confident in their business. That combination of quality, connection, and purpose is what I believe has truly shaped my reputation.
