We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nichole Shirell a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Nichole, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I knew this was more than a dream the moment I touched that stage…
when the crowd didn’t just listen—they felt me,
and their energy co-signed every word I released. It was confirmation. My destiny.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Nichole Shirell is from Birmingham, Alabama. Her education includes a Bachelor’s in Business and a Master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Project Management. Her training/studies include communications and social media proficiency. Nichole is a Christian, published author, and poet of multiple books.
The executive is the founder of Nichole Shirell Enterprise’s publishing and consulting services. Their goal is to help writers publish bodies of work by reducing anxiety and the complexity often experienced while bringing a body of work to life. In the summer of 2018, the company expanded, and the entrepreneur formed the nonprofit division of the company. Segments include youth ministry, prison ministry, and domestic violence survivors.
Mission: inspire, motivate, and love those who seek a voice.
Nichole is the owner of Visionaries Agency Empire LLC (VAE) is a social media talent management corporation. The business was established in February 2020. The agency manages social media influencers (SMI) who share content on a global scale. The content of SMI talents varies and includes skills from artists, comedians, poets, rappers, singers, writers, entrepreneurs, socializers, and more. Due to the extraordinary talent her agency recruited, the VisionSeries film and media segment of the organization was created in an effort to document through YouTube recordings of the agency artists’.
Nichole is the creator and host of The Vault Podcasts, a dynamic podcast collective featuring original series such as Green Gas Gala, The Poets List, The Forum, The UnSilenced, and Let The People See. Through The Vault, she opens space for unapologetic storytelling, meaningful discourse, and voices that refuse to be silenced.

November 28, 2023 Distinguished Voice includes 3 tracks. The three poems are the first transition from the BLM movement to more edgier themes. They are available and streaming on all platforms.
August 31, 2025 – The single Once Saved is the first recorded Christian poem shared by the artist.
November 4, 2022 – The single Migraine is one of the artist’s most popular poems.
February 16, 2021 Amplification: composed of three tracks. The poems focus is on social injustices towards the African-American community.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?

The Holy Bible is my guide and my foundation. It shapes not only what I create, but why I create. The Beatitudes and the fruits of the Spirit keep me grounded—reminding me not to sacrifice my soul for greed, but to be a vessel that uplifts, teaches, and serves mankind.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My creative journey is driven by purpose—to stay committed to the work, to do what’s right even when it’s not easy, and to become the change I wish to see in the world. I aim to lead by example, rise above clichés, and build something meaningful that leaves a legacy behind.
