Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jeremy Levesque. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jeremy, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?
I have been a full-time content creator for 6 months now! I started off creating a bunch of different genres of content that I was interested in. One did better than all of the others so I decided to keep on that path. It took me about a year to get to the point where I could comfortable quit my job. I will say that I had a full-time job and worked at least 30 hours a week for most of that first year. I think my biggest piece of advice is to not be afraid of drawing inspiration from others!
Jeremy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started off my content journey by creating videos to promote my music! I learned very quickly that I was not getting much traction or revenue from this so I knew I had to make a change. I switched my content to ASMR and that instantly started to do very well for me. I continued to focus on that genre of content and it allowed me go full-time! I am proud of myself for staying consistent no matter how many times that I did not want to stream or film.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I would say if you are passionate about something, do not let the world or people stop you from doing it!
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
As I mentioned previously I have tried all kinds of content to find what would work for me. This wasn’t overnight. It took years of posting consistently and trying new avenues to get where I am now.
