We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tiffany Tynes-Gonzales. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tiffany below.
Tiffany, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I knew I wanted to pursue a creative path when I was 9 years old, sitting in front of the TV every Saturday watching ‘Soul Train”. I’d dive into my mom’s closet, pick out a dress and shoes, and dress up like I was about to hit the Soul Train line. I’d dance for the entire episode, copying every move the dancers made. That’s when I realized I wanted to be a performer. I just loved it!

Tiffany, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m an actor, content creator, and professional dancer from Memphis, Tennessee. I got my start in the entertainment world at 13, when I was chosen as a hair model for Sebastian Hair Products. That experience gave me a huge confidence boost and made me realize I wanted to explore every corner of the creative world. From there, I studied Theatre Arts at Arkansas State University, and after graduating, I moved to Orlando to pursue performing professionally. I went from performing at your favorite theme parks as a character performer to hosting a live game show for Nickelodeon. Eventually, I moved to Los Angeles to focus on television and film, which is where my career really started taking off. It was in LA that I became a social media sensation with my appearance in Bart Baker’s “Anaconda” parody. That moment completely changed my career on another level. It opened doors for more opportunities in comedy, content creation, and online entertainment, and gave me a platform to connect with a huge audience. In addition to creating content, my acting career has continued to grow consistently, with appearances in projects like the Netflix film starring Will Smith, “Bright”, Comedy Central’s “Tosh.0”, and more.
Also, dance has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been fortunate enough to dance for incredible artists like Beyoncé, Big Sean, and Wayne Brady.
As a content creator, I focus on a mix of comedy, lifestyle, beauty, and fitness. I try to make everything I do approachable and relatable, giving my audience tips, inspiration, or just a little laughter to brighten their day. What sets me apart is that I bring personality and authenticity to all my work whether it’s performing on screen or sharing content online. I want people to know that my brand is about embracing creativity, having fun, and feeling confident in your own skin. I’m proud of the community I’ve built and the work I’ve done, and I hope that anything people take from my content leaves them feeling inspired, empowered, and entertained.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creative is making my audience smile. There’s nothing like knowing that something I created, whether it’s a funny video, a beauty tip, or even just a small moment of relatability can lift someone’s mood or give them a little escape from a rough day. If I can help someone laugh, feel seen, or just forget their stress for a few minutes, that’s the reward.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
I think one thing non-creatives often don’t realize is how much behind-the-scenes work goes into a creative career. People see the finished videos, performances, or posts, but they don’t always see the hours of planning, practicing, editing, and reworking that go into making it all look effortless.
Another thing is the emotional and mental health side. Being a creative means putting yourself out there in a very public way, and that comes with vulnerability, self-doubt, and learning to handle criticism. You celebrate the wins, but you also learn to grow from the moments that don’t land.
For anyone curious about a creative path, I’d say it’s incredibly rewarding, but it’s also a lot of work that doesn’t always look glamorous. The payoff is the connection with your audience, the joy of bringing an idea to life, and the freedom to express yourself, which, I think, is totally worth it. And even if someone doesn’t consider themselves a “creative,” I think everyone can relate to finding something they love.
