We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ariel Sutton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ariel below.
Ariel, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
From working in a restaurant to being a business owner, I believe you can gain an understanding of hospitality in both circumstances. They both give you a sense of how to manage the situation at hand. When I worked at a restaurant I got to see the nature of the business first hand. From how to manage your business, getting to know the people, and how to handle impact giving the customers a thumbs up experience. I remember there was this one couple that came in the drive thru and he ordered a massive amount of food. I mean you’d believe they were feeding a big family or let alone a multitude of impoverished families. Once they got to the cashier the card failed to go through and these days people have to make sure their cards are on so the customer gave it another try. Once it got to the third try I said to myself this is my turn to help someone out. My team seemed flustered as to why I would extend the kindness and I suggested that they would do the same for me if I were in the same situation. The customer tried his card once more before I paid for the ticket. I wasn’t sure what financial circumstance the customer was in, but I surely knew the extending of knowledge to others. In return the customers couldn’t offered to pay me back, so they gifted me with an heirloom that is endearing to my heart. Regardless of the price I knew that it was the gift of gratitude in exchange. From that day I knew no matter the situation that people had experienced they still had the loving kindness to extend their friendship and I knew love was not just for the person to have the best of intentions but for all people.

Ariel, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi I’m Ariel! I would like to give a warm introduction about my experience. I have been a part of the working class since I was a high school junior in 2019. It has given me the ability to gain the confidence to be myself and to be a part of the real world. I was not aware that college students pay tuition until I graduated and learned that with enrolling there’s a fee to be made before classes start and if not then I could not attend. So with knowledge I took on the responsibility of getting jobs here and there putting my best foot effort forward. I eventually learned that once you find your craft in any industry you’d gain experience and knowledge in your craft. I eventually co founded a clothing brand Xlluré Collection with my friend and it was a huge success. I believe that the industry in itself helped us realize the importance of value in the materials and what we could do to improve our quality. After seeing the results of having to invest in ourselves and the company I leaned on taking jobs to improve on the financial aspect of investing into our own company, but with family needing support; for me it in turn led to the instability of putting more into home life than what I originally planned for. I started to see my own mental state decline with the pressures of my own being. At that point I just wanted to make ends meet to catch up on bills that were behind to support the family. I started selling water bottles and seeing as though it turned into me going to jail for knowing I’ve seen other people do that it seemed unfair and injurious to my being. I became aware that it wasn’t just a case against injustice, but a matter of morality to human kind being or going through impoverishment. While I was jailed I paid my debt to the most high because after being released I knew that it was a bigger issue for the world. I don’t think it is the only issue in this country but it has to do with something to make the country more secure. I then went on to preach to a lot of people, but I think a lot of people were more fond of kindness than being dogmatic. I ended up being subjected to a mental institution and at that point I decided to be a servant of Christ because of my experience. I had an emotional connection to people that were going through more than poverty. I started to learn about their struggles and became a part of their lives telling of my own testimony. It became a spiritual retreat for me because people genuinely suppressed their trauma in order to seem normal to the world. I knew from experience that it would not only help them feel safe but to be a safe space for others as well. When I got released to go home I didn’t stop giving up I just asked myself how and ended up getting a job through a mutual aid. I worked for awhile it’s a story that intertwines with the first article you all read that soon determined my resignation because of the anxiety about it being too stressful for the majority. I believe that the important part of working for clients was that they gained the ability to harbor the emotions of loving kindness. I believe that I am set a part because of the ministry of truth. For anyone who is learning about my story I suggest to read the book and to live for truth, live for what matters wholesomely not just for you but for others. I know we cannot extend more than what we compensate for so truly give people the opportunity to know that you have been a great friend.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
The best advice for managing a team is having the same mindset. Knowing what’s the common goal as well as individual goals to achieve goal settings. To maintain high morale it’s just as simple as managing a team. Once the team deters from scoring or making mistakes in a situation like this it becomes more difficult to get them back on the field to have the best chance of winning. Keep organizing and keep the momentum going in order to help everyone achieve their goal and team building.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has been networking or as the old people would say to me “get out and meet people.” With talking to people it helps build personal connections and the interest of knowing the person in depth without having to be surface level or believe that the only initiative is to gain something from the people.
