We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful John Farris. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with John below.
John, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
In 2000 I moved to Humbolt county, Northern California and was Deeply passionate about growing medical marijuana, I absolutely loved gardening and making more money than I knew what to do with..I was living my dream life up until 2008 when I became allergic to the plant, even a vegetative leaf touching my arm would break out in a swollen red rash on my arm..Realizing I needed to make a change, I started asking Spirit for a new path,.. two painful years went by and still didn’t have an answer..until that day in 2010 when I went into a friends shop and saw the most beautiful wire wrap I had ever seen and laid down the cash for it… I was truly in love… I about slept with the amulet in my hand!!.. Well the next day the friend called me and said the piece was her partners and she wasn’t suppose to sell it to me and asked for its return. I was devastated, yet returned it.. it affected me so much I just HAD to learn how to make one for myself,… mind you I had no thought of being a jewelry artist or pursuing an art career, I went down to the bead shop and bought some wire and tools, self taught myself. and after one month I realized I had a gift for it and couldn’t stop doing the craft, I mean, everyday felt like like Christmas morning, I didn’t want to sleep at night, I just wanted to wrap…. Well people around town started buying them, so logically I had a website built and kept going…the second pert of the story of how I ended up in Sedona, is a journey filled with amazing miracles, which opened so many doors for me, which I can share in the interview…
If I had been able to keep the original amulet I probably would not have taken this path,..So the “trick by the universe” started my path, it was beyond trust or faith,,It was a soul mission that drove me forward.. this path has provided me so much growth, thru the challenges of being an artist with no backing or taking a second job.. I was and am all in for the work I offer the world.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello, my name is John Farris, a Visionary Artist, currently living in Sedona, AZ. I create stunning High Vibrational Crystal Jewelry, using 12 ct. gold, sterling silver with gemstones and crystals with specific energies,
My journey with my art began in 2010, by being Tricked by the Universe! I was a very successful marijuana farmer living in Humbolt Northern California starting in 2000, and by 2008 I had become allergic to the plant and asked Spirit for a new path, jewelry was not on my radar as a life path until that one day when I bought the most beautiful wire wrapped amulet, I was truly in love with this piece!, well, the next day my friend who owned the shop told me I needed to return it as it belonged to her partner and wasn’t suppose to sell it, devastated I returned it and vowed to “just make one for myself”, I am self taught, which turned into a burning passion, and people started buying them, which prompted me to have a website built. Since then I have realized my work is more than just stunning crystal jewelry, the weaves and the coil I create amplify the frequency of the chosen crystal. My work has been tested on a radionics machine which reads frequencies and have been proven to provide tangible feelings of vitality and wellness. Many people at my shows report this with positive emotions or bodily sensations confirming the machines tests.. I feel people who are drawn to my work are moving into the next level of thier lives.. True talismans! Aura photos before and after wearing an amulet shows the significant difference in the auric field. Whatever you are seeking to add or subtract from your life can be assisted with my jewelry.. That’s why I am so soul passionate in my offerings with my work. Also, I deeply enjoy custom work as can infuse your prayers and intentions into the wire as I am creating, with the crystal holding and amplifying the prayers. So, if you resonate with this and my work, I am sincerely at your service and looking forward to hearing from you!
The weaves and coils i create amplify the energy of the crystals i choose

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Society in general needs an education on why Art is profoundly important, acting as a bridge between mundane life to the heavenly realms.. From Alex Greys perspective..
“Spiritual Transformation: Art is a spiritual practice designed to awaken consciousness and reveal the interconnectedness of all beings. the inexplicable sameness that underlies all religions and people..”
From a personal stance, most people don’t get that and more often than not, ask for a discount when at my booth, which bugs the shit out of me.. it seems to be the only profession that people do that with.. Do ladies after getting the perfect hair styling ask for a discount? Do people after eating an amazing meal at a restaurant as for a break on the check, or a dentist office, or shopping for groceries? NO THEY DONT…..EVER……..
So, hence the education is needed to innerstand the important transformation art offers….

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist, is obviously the real transformation my work offers, the light they shine when when they first come in contact with my jewelry, with and the life changing stories of how they are positively affected by the amulets..
And for me personally, how being an artist has deepened my trust and surrender in the overall journey, going months sometimes with out a sale and yet persevering and doubling down on my efforts to continue thru the low times..
The freedom, which is tempered with massive discipline to make art even when i don’t feel like it..
The purpose of a soul mission, helping make this world a better place….
The Inspiration I can offer to younger artist beginning their journey, or peers trying to navigate limiting beliefs and fears stopping them from achieving their potential as an artist or anything else..
