We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sherry Eichberger a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Sherry thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name of my company is, Central515 Consulting. When I was thinking about what to name my company I wanted it to reflect who I am, where I came from and my journey. I decided on Central515 because that’s the address of my childhood home. I grew up living on 515 Central Street in a suburb of Detroit Michigan. My family still owns that home and it’s a place I visit often. It’s the place I go to get centered, to feel gratitude and to remember where I came from and my journey. It’s a special place and I’m so glad I paid homage to it by naming my business after it!

Sherry, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got into business consulting after I had to close down a brick and mortar start-up I created after 4 years. I decided to take everything I learned over those 4 years from both my successes and failures to help other businesses succeed. I help clients with their inbound marketing efforts, PR and Event Planning. I’m a creative so I approach all aspects of business with a creative eye. I’m most proud of HOW I work with my clients. Unlike many marketing firms or business consultants, I’ve owned my own business, worn all the hats, had to budget and do all the things. Therefore, everything I do for clients is done with a business owners mind and heart. It’s a very different perspective and one that has served me and my clients well.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Being completely true to myself and authentic has helped me build my reputation in my industry. What that means to me is that you are the same person all the time and that you do what you say you’re going to do, when you say you’re going to do it. When you’re authentic in that regard, people trust you, respect you, and want to work with you. I’ve exclusively worked word-of-mouth since I started my business 8 years ago. You don’t get that kind of business is you’re not doing something right!

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I love this question! How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty? It goes back to what I said about being your true, authentic self. I’m proud to say that I’ve many clients come back to me over and over again. We may finish a project and then a year later they reach out with another. In the meantime, I follow them on social, text them from time to time to see how they are doing…how’s the family, how’s business. I truly care about them and want them to know. They say that people want to work with people they know, like and trust. Fostering brand loyalty only happens when people know, like and trust you. Do a great job for your clients and customers, show them you truly care about them and their company, and they will continue to work with you and refer you to others.
