We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lynisha Trent. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lynisha below.
Lynisha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was choosing to step away from something I had already built and start over with a deeper purpose.
I previously owned Queen Savage Boutique, which was a women’s clothing brand. From the outside, it looked like I was doing well, but internally, I started to feel like I had outgrown what I created. The brand was built around fashion, but I was evolving as a woman, and I wanted to create something that reflected more than just how we look — I wanted to build something that spoke to how we feel, heal, and grow.
Making the decision to close the boutique was not easy. As a mother and a business owner, stability is important, and walking away from something that already had structure, customers, and recognition felt uncertain. There were moments where I questioned myself and wondered if I was making the right decision, but I knew I couldn’t ignore the direction I was being pulled in.
During that time, I took a step back to really understand what I wanted my next chapter to look like. That’s where the vision for Queen Savage Company came from. Instead of limiting myself to one category, I began building a lifestyle brand centered around confidence, self-expression, and personal growth. This included expanding into self-healing journals, intentional products, and creating experiences that connect with people on a deeper level.
The risk wasn’t just closing a business — it was trusting myself enough to rebuild something greater without having all the answers yet.
Looking back, I can say that risk changed me. It taught me that growth requires letting go, even when it’s uncomfortable. It also showed me that purpose will always push you forward, even when fear tries to hold you back.
I’m still in the process of relaunching, but now I move with more clarity, intention, and confidence in what I’m building. Queen Savage Company represents not just a business, but a new level of alignment in my life and my journey.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Lynisha Trent, founder of Queen Savage Company a lifestyle brand rooted in confidence, self-expression, and personal growth.
My journey into entrepreneurship started with fashion through my previous brand, Queen Savage Boutique. At the time, it was about helping women feel bold and beautiful in what they wore. But as I grew personally, I realized my purpose went deeper than appearance. I wanted to create something that spoke to how women feel on the inside — their healing, their confidence, and their overall sense of self.
That realization led me to evolve the brand into Queen Savage Company. What started as a boutique is now growing into a lifestyle platform that blends fashion with intentional living. In addition to clothing, I create self-healing journals designed to guide individuals through self-reflection, emotional awareness, and personal growth. As the brand continues to expand, it will also include products and experiences that support a more elevated, balanced, and intentional way of living.
What sets my brand apart is that it’s not just about selling products — it’s about creating connection and impact. Everything I create is rooted in real-life experiences, growth, and the understanding that confidence is something you build, not something you’re simply born with.
As a mother of five, my journey has also taught me the importance of resilience, balance, and leading by example. I’m proud of the fact that I’ve allowed myself to grow, shift, and rebuild instead of staying in something that no longer aligned with who I was becoming.
For anyone discovering my brand, I want them to understand that Queen Savage Company represents more than fashion it represents evolution, healing, and stepping into your most confident and intentional self.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the belief that I had to keep something going just because I had already invested time and effort into it.
For a long time, I felt like walking away from something I built meant I was failing or starting over. I held onto that mindset because as a business owner, you’re taught to push through and keep going no matter what. But what I had to realize is that growth sometimes requires you to shift, even when it doesn’t make sense to everyone else.
There came a point where I knew I was evolving, but I was still trying to force myself to stay in a version of my business that no longer aligned with who I was becoming. That created a lot of internal conflict.
Unlearning that mindset allowed me to give myself permission to grow without guilt. It helped me understand that letting go isn’t failure it’s alignment. Once I accepted that, I was able to move differently, make clearer decisions, and build something that truly reflects me.
That lesson changed the way I approach not just business, but life overall. I now move with intention instead of attachment.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
For me, building brand loyalty starts with authenticity and connection.
I don’t approach my brand as just a business. I approach it as a space where people can feel seen, understood, and inspired. Through my social platforms, I share real moments of growth, reflection, and personal experiences, which allows people to connect with me beyond the products.
I focus on creating a feeling. Whether it’s through my journals, content, or future events, I want people to walk away feeling more confident, more aware, and more connected to themselves. That emotional connection is what builds trust.
I also believe consistency matters. Showing up with intention, being clear about my message, and staying aligned with my values helps people understand what the brand represents.
As Queen Savage Company continues to grow, my goal is to build a community not just a customer base. I want people to feel like they’re a part of something that supports their growth and evolution.
Loyalty is built when people feel connected to the message, not just the product.
