We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jae Hunter. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jae below.
Alright, Jae thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
Most definitely. About two years ago, I reached a pivotal point where I knew it was time to scale and fully step into the vision I had for my brand. I secured what I believed was the perfect location to bring that dream to life. At the time, I entered into a co-leasing arrangement with a friend, and I had built a full team around me—my daughters, my sister, my daughter-in-law, and several other talented artists all operating under my brand.
What I didn’t anticipate were the challenges that came with the space itself. There were unexpected hurdles with city ordinances and building requirements that required time, patience, and resilience. At the same time, my business partnership began to shift as we realized we had different perspectives on how the business should operate, and we ultimately made the decision to part ways amicably.
Shortly after, my team dynamic evolved as well. My daughters began pursuing their own paths, while still supporting me part-time and the rest of the team chose to branch out as independent providers. I found myself in a season of major transition. If I’m being honest, it was unsettling at first. The unknown can be intimidating when everything you’ve built begins to change at once.
But in hindsight, that season was a turning point and truly a blessing in disguise.
It gave me clarity in a way I hadn’t experienced before. I realized that while people can support your vision, no one will ever carry it the way you do. That understanding empowered me to fully step into my role as the sole visionary behind my brand.
I chose to pivot.
I slowed down, became intentional, and began rebuilding, this time with complete alignment to my values, my standards, and the experience I wanted to create. I redesigned my studio to reflect a more elevated, wellness-focused environment and rebranded into something far more refined than my original concept.
That process taught me that growth doesn’t always come from moving faster it often comes from moving wiser. The tortoise truly does win the race.
Now, two years later, I’m operating as a solo studio beauty and medspa owner, and I’m not only thriving creatively, I’m thriving financially. What once felt like loss ultimately created the space for something greater, more sustainable, and fully my own.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m the founder and visionary behind Jade Beauty Collective, a luxury beauty and wellness studio based in Keller, Texas. My journey into this industry began with a passion for helping women feel confident, seen, and truly cared for both inside and out. What started as a love for makeup artistry naturally evolved into a multi-dimensional business that now blends beauty, medical aesthetics, and wellness into one elevated experience.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients from everyday women wanting to look and feel their best, to brides preparing for some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. That experience showed me there was a gap in the industry. So many spaces focus on one aspect of beauty, but very few create an environment where beauty, wellness, and emotional experience all come together seamlessly. That realization is what led me to build what I now call a true “sanctuary.”
At Jade Beauty Collective, we offer a curated range of services including soft glam makeup, hair styling, customized facials, medical aesthetic treatments, and now expanding into wellness experiences such as infrared sauna sessions and sensory-based relaxation offerings. We also specialize in bridal beauty, providing a luxury, concierge-style experience for brides and their parties. Everything we do is intentional and designed to go beyond just the service, it’s about how our clients feel when they’re with us.
The problem I solve for my clients is simple, but powerful: I create a space where women can pause, reset, and be taken care of. In today’s fast-paced world, many women are constantly pouring into others and rarely have a place where they feel nurtured themselves. Whether it’s a bride preparing for her big day, a busy professional in need of a reset, or a client investing in their skin and confidence, I’ve built a space where they don’t have to think, they can just arrive and be cared for.
What sets me apart is the experience. I’ve been told many times that it feels different the moment you walk through the door and that’s very intentional. From the design of the space to the energy, the service flow, and the personal connection, everything is curated to feel elevated yet welcoming. I don’t believe in transactional beauty, I believe in transformational experiences. My goal is for every client to leave not just looking better, but feeling soul and spirit fed.
What I’m most proud of is the journey it took to get here. Building this business hasn’t been without challenges, but those moments forced me to grow, refine my vision, and ultimately create something that is fully aligned with who I am. Today, I operate as a solo studio owner with a clear vision, a strong brand identity, and a business model that allows me to serve my clients at a high level while continuing to evolve.
The main thing I want people to know about me and my brand is that this is more than beauty, it’s about intention, care, and creating a space where women feel valued. Jade Beauty Collective isn’t just somewhere you go for a service, it’s somewhere you go to experience a reset, to prepare for life’s moments, and to reconnect with yourself.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
To succeed in this industry, you need more than talent you need grit, adaptability, and the ability to wear many hats at once. This is an ever-evolving space driven by trends, innovation, and technology, and it’s easy to get caught up in the constant motion of it all.
What truly sets you apart is structure and intention. When you establish clear goals, manage your time effectively, and build strong systems and processes, you create a foundation for sustainable growth. Talent may open the door, but it’s strategy, discipline, and vision that carry you forward in today’s market.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
Without question, I would still be in this industry. There were moments when I tried to walk away from this path, but I’ve come to understand that when you’re truly aligned with your purpose, it has a way of finding you again. No matter how much I resisted at times, this calling has always brought me back and each time, with even more clarity and conviction.
