We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Bryce-Brocque Johnson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Bryce-Brocque , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
I do feel my work of choice is very misunderstood because not many people believe it to be ‘real’ work even though this choice of ‘job’ or ‘work’ has made many people in this field of choice thousands if not millions from their craft than a basic 9 to 5 job has ever made them in the shortest and even longest amount of time spent waking up to clock in and clock out. The creative world is seen as something you can’t really take serious if you don’t understand the motive and what could come with it so that comes with having to just putting your trust into your mission and what you know and making it work.
Bryce-Brocque , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a content creator with over a million supporters combined across all platforms. I make funny, relatable videos. I model for brands with clothes and jewelers brands. I’ve starred in short films, Tv series and movies. I’m proud of a lot of things I’ve accomplished and know there’s a lot more to come from where I am now and defeating all the odds against me.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Everything is content. You can make anything happen from nothing. Everyone has thoughts a lot have similar ones. One brings them to light the others keep them in the shadows and never give them a chance to shine.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
LIFE and LIVING! Being able to help and not stressing with needing or wanting for anything aside my family.
