Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Wiler. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jessica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was leaving my job as a college lecturer in Singapore after living there for nearly four years. It was, by most standards, a very good situation: stable, fulfilling, and with the added benefit of being able to travel frequently. I genuinely enjoyed the life I had built there, which made the decision to leave less obvious… and, at times, harder to explain.
Living in Asia also broadened my perspective in ways I hadn’t anticipated. Through traveling and experiencing different cultures, I became more open to spirituality and started thinking more deeply about personal growth and meaning.
During that time, I was offered a spontaneous hypnotherapy session. I hadn’t planned for it, but the experience was surprisingly impactful and stayed with me. It sparked a curiosity about the mind and the possibility for change that I hadn’t explored before.
I didn’t immediately have a clear plan, but I did have a growing sense that I wanted to move in a different direction. Like most major life decisions, it came with outside opinions and practical considerations, some of which made me question whether I was being realistic. And I think there’s a point in those moments where you have to ask yourself: If I ignore this feeling now, is it actually going to go away or just get louder?
At a certain point, I realized I could either keep trying to logically justify the feeling… or trust it.
So I made a fairly significant change: I left Singapore and moved across the ocean to California, a place I had never lived before, to start over. I began formal training in hypnotherapy and past life regression, stepping into a field that isn’t always widely understood and occasionally requires a bit of context when meeting new people.
It was a big move in every sense, geographically, professionally, and personally. There wasn’t a clear roadmap, and there were definitely moments where I wondered if I had made things unnecessarily complicated for myself.
Looking back, it was a leap of faith that expanded my life in ways I couldn’t have planned. It ended up being a great plot twist and a very interesting next chapter. And if nothing else, it’s given me some unexpectedly good stories to share at dinner parties.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a hypnotherapist and intuitive whose work centers around spirituality and the exploration of consciousness. Through my practice, Spirit Explorations, I help people go beyond the surface level of the mind and explore deeper layers of awareness, intuition, and personal insight. Many of the people who come to me are asking bigger questions about their lives: Why do certain patterns keep repeating? Why do some relationships feel instantly familiar? Is there a deeper story behind the life we’re living?
I’m particularly known for my work as a past life regressionist. Past life regression is a form of hypnosis that guides someone into a deeply relaxed state where they can access memories connected to other lifetimes of the soul. During these sessions, people often recall vivid scenes, environments, and experiences that reveal meaningful connections to patterns, relationships, and themes in their current life. For many, it becomes a powerful way to better understand themselves and the larger journey of the soul.
I also offer intuitive readings through the Akashic Records, which are often described as an energetic archive of the soul’s experiences across lifetimes. During these readings, people frequently gain clarity around important life questions, possible directions they may want to explore, or simply a new perspective on challenges they’ve been facing.
I work with clients both in person and online, which allows people from many different parts of the world to participate.
One thing that’s especially important to me is making this kind of exploration approachable. Not everyone begins their journey in the same place, so I try to keep my services accessible for different income levels and share free educational content as well. My hope is that anyone who feels curious about these deeper questions has a place to begin exploring them for themselves.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Honestly, the most effective strategy has been word of mouth. When someone has a profound or surprising experience in a session, whether it’s a powerful insight, emotional breakthrough, or a vivid past life memory, they tend to tell people about it. And that conversation often starts with something like, “You’re not going to believe what happened in this session…” which naturally sparks curiosity. I’ve also found that sharing what I do through social media, talks, and educational content helps people become comfortable with these ideas before they ever book a session. At the end of the day, the best marketing in this field isn’t really marketing at all, it’s simply giving people a meaningful experience they want to talk about.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Other than training and knowledge, I think curiosity and an open mind are essential in this field. When you’re working with people’s inner worlds, their memories, emotions, and sometimes very unusual spiritual experiences, you can’t walk into every session thinking you already know the answer. You have to be willing to explore alongside them. I often joke that part of my job is being professionally curious about the mysteries of the human mind and soul. At the same time, empathy is just as important. People often arrive feeling vulnerable or searching for meaning, and creating a safe, non-judgmental space allows them to open up in ways they might not anywhere else. In the end, this work isn’t really about having all the answers. It’s about helping people ask deeper questions and discover insights for themselves.
