We were lucky to catch up with Cody Hilton recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Cody thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
Started Tinted Yellow Media back in 2020 with very minimal knowledge of how a camera operated. 2021 I pushed myself to go above and beyond my boundaries and comfort zone to gain and learn all the knowledge I could all year long to ensure Tinted Yellow Media was ready to keep pursuing the end goal.
Tinted Yellow Media has always had the motto of ( To help and inspire people to be the best they can be!)
As of today Tinted Yellow Media has continued to rise to the top and expand business in every aspect of photography and videography.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
In 2020 I went to a car show with a couple friends, at the show I took a couple photos and videos with my phone of all the cool builds that attended the event. After the show I went home and edited the photos and sent them to the owners I had talked to. Multiple owners asked me why I didn’t have a camera… I told them I’ve never had one before and that I never really needed one.
From that point on I continued to purchase my first camera and rapidly grow in the photography/videography industry almost immediately. Growing to heights I never knew were possible for myself.
Tinted Yellow Media has been going strong since 2020 and continues to grow exponentially every year! Last year we had 34 weddings booked and this year we already have 13 booked, some booked for 2027 and 2028
