Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Meehwa Bellendir. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Meehwa thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I am a survivor of a devastating fire in 2018 in Korea at Sejong Hospital — an event that not only took my mother’s life but also left my body in crisis. I was diagnosed with PTSD, and soon after, my body developed an autoimmune disorder. Every system in my body seemed to stop functioning. Doctors suggested medications, but I refused them — the side effects were too harsh. Instead, I turned to holistic methods: nutrition, lifestyle changes, and natural healing. Over time, my body transformed dramatically. I became healthier than I had ever been, my energy restored, my pain diminished, and even my skin became radiant and glowing. It was a complete turning point — proof of the body’s extraordinary self-healing power.
But my journey began long before 2018. In 2007, I experienced my first severe slipped disc. In 2008, while teaching children in Korea, I tried a simple three-week detox with a coworker from Ireland. I wasn’t ill — I just wanted glowing skin and maybe to fit into smaller jeans. Yet unexpectedly, my eyesight improved so dramatically that I could finally remove the glasses I had relied on for nearly twenty years. That “eye-opening” experience revealed the body’s self-healing potential and sparked a deep curiosity about how lifestyle and nutrition influence health.
In 2009, I experienced another slipped disc. Then, in 2012, after giving birth, I faced partial paralysis in my leg due to nerve damage and developed uterine prolapse. Each time, doctors said recovery would be extremely difficult. Yet through holistic approaches and conscious lifestyle changes, my body healed — sometimes beyond its previous baseline.
Looking back, these experiences were never isolated. They were part of a long journey that pushed me to ask deeper questions: Why does the body break down? What is it trying to communicate? How can we support its natural ability to heal?
By the time the fire happened in 2018, my body and mind had already endured years of challenges and recovery. That moment forced me to reflect deeply on everything I had experienced and learned. I began asking bigger questions: What role do our emotions and inner life play in physical health? How can we help the body heal, rather than suppress symptoms?
Through both my personal healing and the people I work with today, I realized that illness is rarely just physical. Our emotional wounds and spiritual disconnection often show up in the body. Real healing begins when we support the whole system — mind, body, and spirit. In my own journey, I discovered that none of my illnesses could be fully understood or healed without addressing all these levels.
Sharing my experiences, I noticed that many people were struggling with chronic symptoms, stress, and health challenges that didn’t seem to have clear solutions. What started as my personal search for natural healing became a mission: helping others understand the deeper connections among their body, lifestyle, and emotional well-being. Every person’s body carries a unique story, and true healing requires a personalized, holistic approach.
My learning never stops. I continue to explore, study, and expand my understanding of holistic health so I can guide others on their own transformational healing journeys.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a holistic health coach and guide, deeply passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies, minds, and spirits. My journey into this field began through my own health challenges. Over the past 19 years, I have faced multiple severe health crises — from slipped discs in 2007 and 2009, to partial paralysis in my leg and uterine prolapse after giving birth in 2012, and a life-changing hospital fire in 2018 in Korea that not only resulted in PTSD and an autoimmune disorder but also took the life of my beloved mother. These experiences not only tested me physically and emotionally but also revealed the incredible capacity of the human body to heal when properly supported.
Through trial, research, and exploration of holistic approaches — including nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and mind-body practices — I discovered methods that helped me recover more fully than conventional medicine had predicted. Along the way, I had “eye-opening” moments, like a three-week detox in 2008 that unexpectedly restored my vision, showing me firsthand the body’s self-healing potential.
These personal experiences shaped my mission: to guide others toward true, lasting wellness. Today, I provide holistic health guidance, lifestyle coaching, and personalized wellness strategies that address physical health, emotional well-being, and spiritual balance. I help clients navigate chronic symptoms, stress, and lifestyle challenges, offering solutions that consider the whole person rather than isolated symptoms.
What sets me apart is my deeply experiential approach. I’ve walked the path of illness, trauma, and recovery myself, and I combine that lived experience with holistic techniques to support others in a way that is both empathetic and practical. I emphasize that healing is never one-size-fits-all; it is about understanding each individual’s unique body, history, and needs.
I am most proud of seeing clients regain energy, vitality, and confidence, often achieving health and balance they thought was impossible. My focus is always on empowering people to listen to their bodies, honor their emotions, and create sustainable wellness practices that serve them long-term.
For anyone curious about my work or my approach, I want them to know that I view the body as a dynamic system interconnected with mind and spirit, that challenges are often opportunities for deeper growth, and that holistic healing is both possible and transformative when approached with awareness, patience, and support.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the clearest examples of my resilience comes from a severe fire I survived in 2018 in Korea at Sejong Hospital. The fire took my mother’s life and left me with PTSD and autoimmune issues. Every system in my body was failing, and the medications doctors suggested had side effects I couldn’t accept.
I chose a different path. I turned to holistic healing — nutrition, lifestyle, and practices that supported my mind, body, and spirit. Over time, my body transformed. My energy returned, my chronic pain diminished, and I became healthier than I had ever been before.
This wasn’t my first challenge. In 2007 and 2009, I faced severe slipped discs. In 2012, after giving birth, I experienced partial paralysis in my leg and uterine prolapse. Each time, doctors warned recovery would be difficult. Yet with persistence and holistic approaches, I healed — often beyond what anyone expected.
These experiences taught me that resilience isn’t avoiding hardship; it’s responding with courage, curiosity, and patience. Today, this resilience guides my work helping others navigate health and life challenges, showing them that transformation is possible, even after the most devastating experiences.
