Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Laura Dunworth. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Laura, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
There was a time in my life when I didn’t know how to slow down or tend to what my body was holding. In my twenties, my younger brother — my best friend growing up — died suddenly in an accident, and my world shifted in ways I didn’t yet know how to name. Grief began to live in my body as tightness, exhaustion, digestive issues, shallow breathing, and restless sleep. I felt deeply lonely and unprepared, carrying emotions I didn’t know how to release or move through.
I knew I needed healing, but I had never been taught how to work with grief, anxiety, or overwhelming emotions. So I began searching. Through the healing arts of meditation, breathwork, yoga, sound healing, and energy healing, I slowly found my way back to myself. As my body softened and my breath deepened, a new sense of peace and intuition began to emerge. I felt connected again — to myself, to life, and to my brother through quiet signs and synchronicities that reminded me I was not alone.
That healing journey didn’t close me off; it opened me in a profound way. It revealed how deeply I care about helping others experience what I had slowly relearned — how to create calm, peace, and presence in their lives.
Today I am a certified yoga and breathwork teacher, holistic health coach, and sound and energy healing practitioner. My work is centered around supporting both adults and children who are navigating grief, stress, overwhelm, or the constant noise of daily life. Through simple, embodied tools, I help people slow down, breathe, reconnect with their bodies, and listen to their inner voices. These practices help move trapped emotional energy and restore a sense of calm, coherence, and connection.
At the heart of my work is a simple truth that guides everything I share: when we slow down and breathe, we begin to remember who we are — connected, whole, and deeply human.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
As a parent of two sons and a former elementary school teacher, supporting children’s growth and well-being has always been central to my life. Over the years, I began to notice how the pressures of modern life were affecting not only adults, but children as well. Stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm were becoming more common at younger ages.
After experiencing a personal tragedy in my own life, I turned to the healing practices of yoga, breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness to help me regain balance and find my footing again. These practices became powerful tools for healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
As I experienced the benefits firsthand, I felt called to share these tools with others. That inspiration led to the creation of Vitality Life Online, a wellness app designed to make simple, effective mindfulness practices accessible to everyday life. It also inspired me to write the Breathe Easy book series, which introduces children to calming techniques like breathing and tapping so they can learn how to manage their emotions and navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and confidence. I also teach workshops, classes, retreats and work one-on-one with private clients.
My goal is simple: to give both children and adults practical tools that help them slow down, reconnect with themselves, and move through life with greater calm, awareness, and well-being.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Training and knowledge are important foundations in this field, but in my experience the most important element is personal practice. The healing arts are not something you simply study — they are something you live.
My daily practices of yoga, breathwork, meditation, and energy work help me stay connected to myself first. That connection allows me to show up in a grounded, authentic way with my students and clients. When I consistently tend to my own nervous system and well-being, I am better able to hold space for others who are navigating stress, grief, or anxiety in their own lives.
Through my own practice, I have learned what it feels like to move stress and emotional energy through the body and return to a place of calm and balance. That lived experience gives me insight and empathy when working with others. Rather than offering techniques in theory, I am able to share modalities that I know firsthand can help regulate the body, quiet the mind, and create a sense of inner steadiness.
Ultimately, success in this work comes from walking the path yourself. When you practice what you teach, your presence becomes part of the healing.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My work in this field has grown organically over more than twenty-five years, beginning with my own personal healing journey. What I share with others comes from lived experience, not just training. The practices of yoga, breathwork, meditation, sound, and energy healing first became tools that helped me navigate my own life, and over time they naturally became the foundation of the work I offer to others.
Building a reputation in this space comes down to authenticity. People can sense when someone is truly living what they teach. I have always approached this work with sincerity and a deep respect for the healing process. The practices I share are the same ones that support my own well-being, and that authenticity creates trust with the people I work with.
Over the years, that trust has grown through personal relationships, workshops, classes, and the work I do with both adults and children. My goal has never been simply to teach techniques, but to create a safe and supportive space where people feel seen, heard, and empowered in their own healing journey. That genuine connection has been the foundation for how my reputation in this field has developed.
