We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nicole Butler Vegas a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Nicole , appreciate you joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.

By showing up and saying yes to any opportunity there is on a film set! I would have started 20yrs ago instead of 5yrs ago. Most essential is showing up and showing you can learn and do the job! Being marketable and being able to have the gift to gab! What stood in my way is there is so many avenues of approach and show biz is completely different then anything I ever experienced in my life! Learning to adjust to the consent flow change!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I started in 2021 and was hired through Casting agent Julie Goldman in Las Vegas. I have then worked along side Director/Writer Shawn c Phillips many Independent films as a main producer! I love building a film family/team! Have a good mindset and know you will have to give up your old life for your new one! Short term for the long term! We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I will share some pictures with my links on many group pages! I sign up and connect to podcast and build my followers/fanbase the way! Also some feature films help me build my audience! I post almost everyday to keep others engaged! Some groups are “Nicole View Views”, “Lost Media”and “Skate to Hell” film group.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Connecting with others and having people be inspired in their life to obtain their goals. Sharing my setbacks and how I was able to overcome. Sharing my Knowledge and letting others know it is a true grind! It is a mindset, short term for the long term!
