We recently connected with Erin Mitchell and have shared our conversation below.
Erin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
After Graduating from the University of Arizona with a Communications and Business degree I went straight into my Medical Sales Career.
I spent many years with this company. Here I gained the knowledge and experience working with a variety of customers within the hospital and healthcare environment.
In order to succeed, this job forced you to be self motivated and extremely organized.
The year I resigned from the company I was in the top 2 percent of the sales force for sales growth year over year, and grew my territory by 55 percent.
I truly loved this job, but I adored being a new mother even more.
At that point my husband and I made the decision that it was best to walk away from the demanding schedule to be able to spend more time with our then one and soon to be second son.
I knew that I eventually wanted to get back into the sales and customer satisfaction industry, but being able to set my schedule to work around our family’s schedule was at the forefront.
I took a leap of faith, and created Events By Erin LLC!
With the help of my Business and Communications degree, as well as my 19 years of sales experience and superior customer satisfaction I love to work with my client’s budget and desires to help make their vision a reality!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
When creating Events By Erin LLC, I wanted to make it something my family would be proud of.
After getting my licensing and insurance in order the real work began!
My company is designed to be a one stop shop for my clients. My goal is to remove all the stress and confusion that can come from coordinating an event.
Design, Plan, and Implement
I first start with a conversation to go over their vision and budget.
I then take that information to get to work on the planning.
Communication is key, and I keep my clients involved throughout the entire process.
Lastly, my preferred vendors that
I am proud to partner with and I work closely during the developmental stages to assure their event goes off without a hitch!

How did you build your audience on social media?
In the world of customer service and satisfaction, referrals and connection are key!
Social media plays such a huge role in gaining new clients and vendor partners for my company.
I am the co-leader of the Fort Mill, SC chapter of the Women’s Business League. This group of incredible women have been such a blessing in contributing to the online connections that have escalated my business.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Communication is the cornerstone of every successful event I have planned. From day one to the final moment of the event, I want my clients to be in the know.
Ultimately, they are going to be my next personal review and I strive to go above and beyond with every one of my clients.
