We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nicole Cherry. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nicole below.
Nicole, appreciate you joining us today. Can you share an important lesson you learned in a prior job that’s helped you in your career afterwards?
One of the most important lessons I learned, which still shapes me as a business owner today, actually came from my early career about 20 years ago. Back then, I worked as a radio DJ. And in that role, I had to curate my own content and essentially take creative control of my shows. It was a fantastic platform for expressing my personality, but it also had boundaries and limitations.
At the same time, I always loved dance, fitness, and teaching classes on the side. I realized I had a unique way of moving and doing things, but I wasn’t really seeing that reflected in the existing offerings. That pushed me to start creating my own material.
When the radio station eventually let me go, I initially felt lost. I’d relied on that identity. But the turning point was realizing: if I could get on the radio and create my own show, why couldn’t I do the same in my own life and business? I didn’t need a big media machine backing me. I had the skills and creativity to build something from scratch. And that lesson—that I can trust my own creativity and resourcefulness—has been the foundation of my business journey ever since.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Nicole Cherry, founder of Vegas Yoga Parties — a creative movement experience rooted in celebration, connection, and embodied confidence.
I grew up in gymnastics and dance and have been teaching since I was 18. Over the years, my path has woven through cardio striptease in the early 2000s, pole and lap dance–inspired fitness, Pilates, yoga, hands-on assists, and partner stretching. Movement has always been my language, and every offering inside Vegas Yoga Parties began as something I personally created and refined first.
What started as themed yoga parties in Las Vegas has grown into a platform for intentional mind-body experiences — from Pilates parties and couples yoga to sensual yoga workshops and immersive sound baths. Vegas is bold, playful, and high-energy, and I love creating experiences that match that spirit while still offering something meaningful beneath the surface.
We’ve expanded beyond Vegas into Tampa and Big Sky, and I also lead transformational retreats — including women’s journeys across Thailand — for those who want to go deeper.
Vegas Yoga Parties creates the grand group experience.
My personal work is where we slow down and reconnect.
Alongside events and retreats, I mentor yoga teachers who want to expand into more creative and niche spaces — learning how to facilitate workshops, teach couples yoga, and hold sensual yoga classes with confidence and clarity. Some train with us and eventually step into teaching alongside our team.
But you don’t have to be a teacher to join us. Many of our clients simply love to gather, celebrate, move, and experience something different. Whether someone is booking a birthday weekend, planning a couples experience, joining a retreat, or exploring continuing education, the intention is the same:
Create spaces that feel fun, safe, expressive, and truly alive.
In Vegas, we love to party — we just do it with mind, body, and intention woven in.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes — my mission is to make Vegas Yoga Parties a premier go-to experience for anyone visiting Las Vegas who wants to celebrate in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Vegas is known for entertainment, and I love that energy. My goal is to expand what that can look like — offering mind-body celebrations that feel playful, elevated, and unforgettable. Whether someone is here for a birthday, a couples getaway, or a girls’ weekend, I want them to naturally consider us as part of their trip.
Beyond the parties, I’m building immersive retreats in Las Vegas, Florida, and internationally — experiences that feel effortless, inspiring, and so aligned that they sell out before the next one is even announced.
A huge part of the mission is creating opportunity for instructors. Through continuing education in sensual yoga and couples yoga, I’m developing pathways for teachers to expand their offerings and grow with us. My vision is a platform where talented instructors can train, collaborate, and become part of the Vegas Yoga Parties experience long term.
At its heart, the mission is simple: redefine celebration, create spaces for deeper connection, and build a culture where both participants and instructors feel elevated.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
For over 15 years, I worked in corporate radio as a DJ while teaching movement classes on the side. Teaching was always my creative outlet — the place where I felt most alive — but for a long time it existed alongside a more traditional career path.
In 2020, I chose to go all in on building my own business. That decision wasn’t just professional — it was personal. After navigating injury and motherhood, I needed a deeper reconnection to my body. Sensual yoga became that gateway. It wasn’t designed as a brand idea; it was a practice that helped me rebuild strength, confidence, and presence from the inside out. That class became the foundation of what is now Vegas Yoga Parties.
Since stepping fully into entrepreneurship, there have been seasons that tested me — expanding into new cities, growing a team, and facing personal health challenges that required me to slow down and recalibrate. Each phase reshaped me, and in turn reshaped the business.
But every challenge reinforced why I started: to create work that feels aligned, creative, and sustainable.
The leap wasn’t only about working for myself. It was about proving that movement professionals and creatives can build something of their own — and helping other instructors see that it’s possible to turn what they love into a full-time path.
Resilience, for me, is trusting the long game. Staying consistent. Evolving when needed. And continuing to show up — even when the version of the business, or myself, has shifted.
